Towns that sign up as Cittaslows are focusing on the quality of life, rather than just speed and cheapness. Ludlow first entered the Heart of England in Bloom. Organises a range of competitions within the town, for youth groups, householders, businesses, and so forth.

What's going on? 25th Anniversary in 2009. Real Jam Festival 2010. It's marmalade time. There are so many interesting things to do in our area that it is difficult for our members to keep abreast of what is going on. The big local places and events are well known, but here is information on some of the less high-profile but equally enjoyable things to do and see in and around Ludlow. Information on most of these will be on or by the noticeboard at the institute’s monthly meetings. June 25 Learn to Rag Rug.
