The Decorators were a band from the west London suburb of Acton. Formed in 1979, they released two albums and a brace of singles before splitting up in 1984. If you love the Velvets or Only Ones you’ll probably like The Decorators. This site contains photos, music, reviews and other information about this now largely unknown group. Ndré Previn is usually associated with classical music, who knew he was a hep jazz piano man back in his youth? I didn’t for one. So, I purchased this album for mainly the Previn connection, the fact that it features the great drummer Shelly Manne helped my decision, as did the nice cover artwork. The first track, No Moon at All. I’m going to keep an eye out for more from Previn. Here’s No Moon At All.
