Wednesday, July 25, 2007. Thanks for all of the prayers and encouragement. Garrett was discharged this afternoon and we were home by 1:30. He is trying to use up all of the extra energy that he couldn't use for two days in as short of a time as possible. Life is always exciting and we are thankful for God's protection and blessings. We are also thankful for friends and sisters and neighbors who sacrificially offered their time to help with the logistics of the last couple of days. Tuesday, July 24, 2007.

Wednesday, October 8, 2008. The rains came down and the floods came up.". Just wanted to let everyone know that the McFarlanes are still here and doing well. When I figure out how to do it on Matt's laptop, I will post pictures of what our house looked like when it flooded on September 13 and of our kids leaving from our yard in a canoe the next day. Thursday, August 21, 2008. Thank you everyone for all of your prayers for our family and especially for Garrett. He is a walking (running) miracle and a testimony to God's grace in our lives! Also, when he runs, he is dragging one of his legs. He says nothing hurts, but it seems to bother him to put pressure on his left leg. Never a dull moment! Fourth of July with the kids. So last Friday, Matt, James and I went to the North Texas Irish Festival! It was a lot of fun. Friday, October 18, 2013. Last Thursday was Barrett's fall break at school, so Matt took off work and we headed over to the Texas State Fair! Caroline was just tall enough to be able to ride some of the rides without an adult, so the two of them were able to ride together. Pure joy captured below.
