Rustling Leaves: April 2007

Gardening information and experiences and sometimes more. The audience I am writing for is myself, my family, and a few friends but everyone is welcome. Subscribe to Rustling Leaves. Or Subscribe by Email. A sampling of books on the shelf and elsewhere. Most are plant related with a few bird, insect, and ecology works sprinkled around. Green-eyed but not envious. Iris - wrapping it up. Still working on the Iris. PCNs - a picture is worth. Siberians - more than the hardy alternative. Im thinking of Iris.

MTB) Miniature Tall Bearded. This class is distinguished by daintiness and delicacy. Height from 41 cm (16 inches) to 70 cm (27 1/2 inches). The blooms are smaller than on a BB and the stems are thin and wiry. An MTB clump looks like a cloud of butterflies. They are often called "Table Irises" because they are so well suited for arrangements. These Irises compete for the Williamson-White Medal. For your favorite MTB or see others recommendations. Articles about MTBs. Irises by Date (to be constructed).
