Mennonite Girls Can Cook: Baked Lemon Cake Donuts
http://www.mennonitegirlscancook.ca/2014/06/baked-lemon-cake-donuts.html
Wednesday, June 4, 2014. Baked Lemon Cake Donuts. Last summer I ordered gluten free baked lemon donuts for one of my friends from another friend, Jeanine who is an amazing gluten free baker! She added two extra donuts to my order so that my hubby and I could have a taste. They tasted awesome and I've wanted to make them ever since but I first had to buy a donut pan which I finally did. My recipe is adapted to a gluten version. You can find Jeanine's recipe here. Zest of one lemon. 1 teaspoon baking powder.

Wednesday, April 22, 2015. These scones are so delicious and beautiful and fit for the prettiest teas and yet simple to put together for a quick coffee if you have your rhubarb roasted and ready in the refrigerator. I usually keep a container of roasted rhubarb in our refrigerator for a week to put over vanilla yogurt,. Or to add to scones or over ice cream for dessert. 8 cups diced rhubarb (about 1/2 inch dice). Refrigerate the Roasted Rhubarb that you are not needing for scones. 2 1/2 cups flour. Using...

Our Little Red Saltbox.A step back to a simpler time of living. Wednesday, November 19, 2014. Craft Class Week 5…. This week's craft was a tree skirt. I just love how they all turned out! I really loved this one! I think it's the larger trim, or maybe it's just that it's more the colors I like for myself. It was a small class this week. Our winter storm really messed things up, but it is that time of year. (frown). She really doesn't like sewing projects! Only 3 more classes left! Craft Class Week 3.

Stitchin' Therapy: Making scraps
http://stitchintherapy.blogspot.com/2015/08/making-scraps.html
Tutorial Design a Watercolor Quilt. Thursday, August 6, 2015. Instead of tossing my scraps- -leftover strips, binding, and a few hunks- -into the scrap bin last week, I set them aside. At week's end, this is what I had! A little more stitching on the table runner. This is a corner. It is an awkward shape to fill in. So once the small feather reached the narrow section, I added a swirl at the top with an extra outline. I like the look of this. Yep, that sounds about right.I was always the one who did ...

Carey's Farmhouse Kitchen: Winter Woods in the Media Room
http://careysfarmhousekitchen.blogspot.com/2012/12/winter-woods-in-media-room.html
Saturday, December 22, 2012. Winter Woods in the Media Room. Ok, so I've been thrown for a loop this week and didn't get my second level posted. Between illness, meetings, work, and Christmas shopping it's that busy time of year! Here's my favorite tree this year. It's composed of ornaments bought on clearance at JC Penney last year and some grapevine garland, a star I borrowed from somewhere else that stays year round. The snowmen like their home down here. They stay up after Christmas. Hello, welcome t...

Our Growing Family: November 2013
http://koopolsta.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
Sunday, November 24, 2013. 4 months and counting. Alex had his 4 month checkup this past Monday. He continues to do well. He's now 26.5" long (95%ile) and 15 lbs, 5 oz (50%ile). He's long and skinny - just like his Mama, right? Clayton continues to enjoy taking photos. His "selflies" are quite hilarious. I like this one of Alex and me. No - Alex doesn't have a comb-over do.although it kind of gives you an idea of what he may look like in a couple of decades. And here's our 18-week old. Links to this post.
Our Growing Family: March 2014
http://koopolsta.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
Thursday, March 27, 2014. We had another busy week in the Olsta household. We started the week with a Mother-son trip to the salon to finally get Clayton a decent hair cut. He thought it was pretty cool to get his hair cut by the same person who cuts mine. We did our weekly trip to Cafe Hollander afterwards. As we were preparing to head home, Clayton headed up to the bar just to say "hi! It may be a sign that we go there a little too often? On Sunday, Nana and Papa stopped by on their way down to Chicago.
Our Growing Family: September 2014
http://koopolsta.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Tuesday, September 2, 2014. My blogging has been lacking of late. Apparently I made it to the 52 week for Alex - and then slacked off! But, just because I haven't been posting anything doesn't mean that fun stuff hasn't been happening. The month of August brought lots of brotherly fun. The boys enjoying after school snacks in the backyard together. And playing in the sandbox. We ventured down to the beach on several occasions. Ryan and Clayton attempted kite flying. While Alex and I observed. And here is...
