Alan's Tailgate Salt Spreader Dump Door. Anyone who visits this site frequently, knows how ingenious Alan can be. This is a great idea, and I imagine in years to come, the manufacturers themselves will add this feature to their spreaders. It is such a simple concept, and saves a lot of back breaking work. It also adds versatility, as Alan points out. I will let Alan explain himself. This salter is on the S-10 with the custom bed that Alan built, featured on this site. Tail Gate Salt Spreader Screen.

Still going up, getting it over the shifters. It's off. Brian is rolling the chassis back out of the way. Now it will be much easier to assess the damage, easier to work on, and repair. Running gear. There are numerous cracks in the frame. We tipped the cab back onto a pallet so we can move it around. Most of the floor is going to be replaced. The trans tunnel will be replaced later on once the body is on the Chevy chassis. Not much left of the bottom of the cowl. Next: Repairing The Cab. Become a fan on...

Repairing the Cab - Page 5. May 17th - Time to tie the floor in under the driver's seat riser. Brian made two panels. I made the last panel, punched all of them, and spot welded them in. Either they were not good spot welds to begin with, or they broke over time from opening the door too far, or they rusted away. The door check on this side was broken inside the A Pillar too, so maybe it was a combination of things. Here is where it will be when installed. I bolted the cab mount on to check alignment.
