The Mountain Legacy Project. The Canadian Rockies 1861 to The Present – www.mountainlegacy.ca. December 24, 2011. Better Late Than Never. All told, Ellie and I drove a staggering 5000 km in our trusty EXPEDITION MAX and covered almost the entire length of the Albertan Rocky Mountains. Along the way we worked with eight provincial and federal agencies on 12 historical surveys, repeating almost 200 images! Http:/ youtu.be/ZnQVZ9ft Z4. Posted in Posts from the past. August 30, 2011. Tuesday, August 13, 2013. Two-stepping to Tent Ridge. Lisa and Mike on the west arm of Tent Ridge looking back at our hike and scramble. Kananaskis Country - what the folks who live in south-west Alberta refer to as K-Country - is the place where the locals go to play. Full of glorious Rocky Mountains, K-Country has all the vistas, views, and trails of the Mountain Parks, but almost none of the National Park tourists. Mary below Mt. Smuts on the ridge high point. Storm in the north over Spray Lakes.

Friday, December 28, 2012. 2012: Mountains and roofs . oh my! Another year gone and I think I can safely say that Mike and I are starting to feel our age! Admittedly, this year was long on mountains and short on multi-day bike trips, but roads and bike trails are calling too. We are not sure yet what 2013 will bring, but I’m certain it will involve out-walking or out-riding the furthest city lights! Alan, Mike, Mary, Jan:. Mike, Roxanne, and Dave on Mt. Klitsa. The view. Mary on Mt. Shatch: amazed. Fall ...
