mutterings of a mommy: Why?

http://www.mutteringsofamommy.blogspot.com/2008/03/why.html

Mutterings of a mommy. My musings, goings ons, rants and cheers.all in one place. Maybe. Tuesday, March 11, 2008. Everyone warned me. I really can't say that it was unexpected.and yet, the on-set of the "whys" have me up in arms. It starts in the morning:. Mommy, why do I have to go to school? Because Mommy and Daddy have to work sweetie. Because it's what mommy's and daddy's do to make sure we can pay for things. Because we like having a house and food. Hey, at least she is curious, right?

mutterings of a mommy: mornings are rough

http://www.mutteringsofamommy.blogspot.com/2008/03/mornings-are-rough.html

Mutterings of a mommy. My musings, goings ons, rants and cheers.all in one place. Maybe. Thursday, March 13, 2008. One thing I can say is that my daughter and I deal with mornings in the same way, with great disdain. Neither of us are fans of birds chirping and waking us out of what was a sound sleep. We would both rather awake when WE want to not when the alarm (or in her case Daddy) tells us to. It would be so much easier if life would adjust to our natural schedules! Mutterings of a mommy. My musings, goings ons, rants and cheers.all in one place. Maybe. Friday, November 7, 2008. Daddy, it's not beer! We were trying to get K to drink some medicine yesterday and Mike came up with the idea to tell her it was just like the drink he always drinks (he was talking about vitamin water) K looked at him and said "Daddy! mutterings of a mommy: I will be better next week

Mutterings of a mommy. My musings, goings ons, rants and cheers.all in one place. Maybe. Monday, March 24, 2008. I will be better next week. K was just coughing. I asked her what was wrong and she said she was "wasn't feeling well" but that she would feel better next week. . Then she thought about it more and decided no, she would feel better when she started ballet lessons. Have I mentioned that there are NO openings in any ballet class anywhere in our area? mutterings of a mommy: Monday!

http://www.mutteringsofamommy.blogspot.com/2009/03/monday.html

Mutterings of a mommy. My musings, goings ons, rants and cheers.all in one place. Maybe. Monday, March 23, 2009. So, the weekend was good. We did a bit of birthday partying, a bit of shopping, a bit of seeing friends and the major accomplishment was getting the playroom cleared out and almost entirely painted. Go us! The only thing left is to paint the wall that I plan on doing multi-color boxes on. Of course I am in over my head on this one.but it may turn out well, who knows! I guess time will tell.

Tuesday, June 30, 2009. Last day of Wonder, first day of Savannah. They were getting a bit squirrely, and eager to go to the hotel, so started back (walking through a couple of squares- so pretty! We hung out and relaxed a bit longer before walking down by the river to look for somwhere to eat dinner. (I forgot to bring the camera! The rain held off until we were back in the room.and we go back just in time for the freshly baked cookies that they had out in the lobby. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Life in the Slow Lane: Tybee and horses

http://ella6599.blogspot.com/2009/06/tybee-and-horses.html

Tuesday, June 30, 2009. We ate lunch at Cafe Loco, near the boat dock. Food was ok, but service was seriously slow.it killed time until our tour though. After letting them play for a while, we decided to take a walk and do some shopping. We'd talked about doing a carriage tour of Savannah after seeing them while we were walking in the downtown area. We knew they left from City Market so we headed in that direction. To the girls, while eating pizza- Andrew had salmon with cream cheese and red onion, I had...

Monday, June 29, 2009. In the afternoon, though, we'd planned on taking a taxi to the gardens/zoo, where they have a trained flamingo show. We realized that we'd miss the show.and were feeling a bit tired from our walking in the morning, and decided to skip it (we'd heard mixed reviews anyway). Instead, we went swimming (and spent lots of time in the hot tub- the girls are big fans.me too! Ate more than I meant to of that! He got all the olives though. http://ella6599.blogspot.com/2009/06/castaway-cay.html

Monday, June 29, 2009. This was easily the best and worst day of our entire vacation. Best because Castaway Cay is Disney's private island in the Bahamas- and of course, is utterly perfect. Worst.I'll get to that in a bit. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Last day of Wonder, first day of Savannah. Dinner and a show. Our tropical vacation-starting out. Life in the Slow Lane: April 2007

http://ella6599.blogspot.com/2007_04_01_archive.html

Sunday, April 15, 2007. It's been a while since I've posted! I think we've got some sort of evil spirit in this house that doesn't like electrical appliances.Did I mention that we had to replace our washer and dryer recently? Ughwhen it rains, it pours). Last weekend.I had to work- DH took the girls to the IL's for the weekend, so it was fairly quiet here. I've recently started beading again (as if I don't have enough hobbies! And I made 3 necklaces! Godiva Chocolate Liqueur- pricey, but oh so good!

I actually got to take a couple days off, once when I went to a scrapbooking retreat (first time I've paper scrapped in a long time! Today, we went out to brunch, and then shopping- for a combination Mother's Day, Father's Day and anniversary (8 years in June) gift, we're getting a big screen TV! So we got obsessed again! Paranoid Couch: January 2007

http://paranoidcouch.blogspot.com/2007_01_01_archive.html

There's a story behind this. Wednesday, January 31, 2007. Nick Saban is a Racist. He's a lot of things, but I never knew racist was one of them. None found. But this? According to ProFootballTalk.com, Saban was talking to reporters in a supposed "off the record" discussion on January 4th, after his introduction as Alabama's head coach - but, a tape recorder was indeed rolling. And on it, he said:. Quote]My friends are okay with it. The rest of those guys? You've got to scroll down a bit. Or, for that mat...

We played a rousing game of "You know how I know you're a douche? We commented on the numerous cute dogs we saw. We sang Flight of the Conchords songs to each other. We texted people. Paranoid Couch: The Problem with the Digital Age

http://paranoidcouch.blogspot.com/2007/06/problem-with-digital-age.html

There's a story behind this. Monday, June 18, 2007. The Problem with the Digital Age. It occurred to me this weekend that my kids are going to miss out on an awesome thing by being part of the digital age: cassette tapes. My kids won't be able to hold the tape recorder up and tape songs off the radio. They won't be able to tape-record themselves reading really annoying kid books out loud to their dolls. Or their siblings. Or just for the hell of it. And they won't even KNOW they're missing it! If You Giv...

There've been topics weaving in and out of my thoughts all year, but by the time I get to my computer, I've lost the bulk of my musings. So, is that my age or just minimal desire to put my musings down? This brings me to this question: at what age do I need to change the title of my blog? Is 60 middle age? Mutterings of a Teenage Mind | Thoughts, mutterings and stresses of being a teenager.

Mutterings of a Teenage Mind. Thoughts, mutterings and stresses of being a teenager. July 4, 2015. After months and months of preparation, planning and panic, last night was the conclusion of my five years at secondary school. Which led me to the prom dress that I chose: a long, straight midnight blue dress with an empire neckline and silver jewels beaded across the sleeves and below the bust. It truly made me feel like a princess. I also decided to get my hair done professionally and then do the natural...

Wednesday, February 8, 2012. 30 before 30: i scuba dived. When we visited Maui in 2006, I planned on hiking, snorkeling and relaxing. For the most part, that is exactly what happened. But then a friend of ours asked if I wanted to go scuba diving, and I said yes. I am a pretty adventerous person. I like to try new things. But the ocean has always scared me. Oh ya, totally natural. And then I was scuba diving. It is difficult to describe the feeling of scuba diving. I felt empowered as I did something...
