Mutterings of a Fool. Man, Dad, Runner, Chief dog walker. Matilda’s book reviews. PR & Advertising. Matilda’s book reviews. PR & Advertising. Just one more week? August 9, 2015. I’ve a serious case of the back to work blues tonight and I’m not even back to work for another 12 hours. The last week of holiday has been fabulous, hard and tiring at times as you would expect with 3 small children but that’s soon forgotten when you are making memories isn’t it? Billy goats not so gruff. Stirring away the gloom.

August 5, 2015. 10 years ago today I stood up in front of family and friends and said ‘I do’ to the lady of the manor, 10 years! With that I raise my glass to love and friendship and to Alex who I love now, forever and always. PS this also means I can now tick another thing off my Bucket List! Dear Lady of the Manor. Long live the beard.

Quilting Along the Grain: Making Changes.....
http://quiltingalongthegrain.blogspot.com/2016/10/making-changes.html
Saturday, 15 October 2016. 2016 so far has been a year of epic changes. moving house and town, changing schools -twice and changing job! As with any changes all of this has taken a toll on our family. We love where we now live in Stroud. It has taken 5 months but we finally feel at home. It is a great town with lovely walks into town and all sorts of lovely shops. So I have decided to stop teaching. I love teaching and passing on my skills and creating fabric addicts! Just some of the things I have been ...

Quilting Along the Grain: June 2014
http://quiltingalongthegrain.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 10 June 2014. One of the best things about being a sewing teacher is being able to buy fabric for classes! I get to buy lots of different types of fabric and often I buy things that don't suit my taste, but my students turn them into amazing items! I am always on the lookout for new places to buy fabric and to be able to recommend to my classes. Over the last week I have ordered from a shop I have been following for a while on social media - Plush Addict. I hadn't realised that Plush Addict.

Quilting Along the Grain: March 2015
http://quiltingalongthegrain.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Sunday, 15 March 2015. Once Upon a Star! During my break from blogging things changed dramatically here, I now have an actual job as a Community Development Worker! It is a job a love and builds on the teaching I have done in communities around the county. It has meant a massive shift in how my family works, I no longer have the freedom to manage my time that I had as a freelance teacher. It has been a major adjustment for us all, but one we have all come through still smiling! Part of a Christmas Star.

Quilting Along the Grain: Bunny Cushion!
http://quiltingalongthegrain.blogspot.com/2015/12/bunny-cushion.html
Sunday, 6 December 2015. The birthday party day has arrived and the present was finished with an hour to spare! The pattern by Elizabeth Hartman. Was really easy to follow but the cutting out was quite intense because there are pretty small pieces of fabric! I made the bottom of the bunnies face a little bit bigger so he has a nice chubby face. The picture of the finished cushion is not great - no light here today! I hope that the birtdhay boy loves it as much as I loved making it! Hello, I am Anna!
