Goodbye Kamembe – My African Adventure
https://myadventuresinafricadotcom.wordpress.com/2014/11/15/goodbye-kamembe
November 15, 2014. November 15, 2014. I said goodbye to Jo’s house. And we walked with my suitcase to St Matthews. It was only 7.15 but Alex was already at the school preparing for the day’s training. He arranged for my suitcase to be carried up the hill and along to Jonathan’s house where we were sharing a taxi to the bus station. I said goodbye to Debbie and Emi and the beautiful views of the lake from above St Matthews. Even the traffic lights here are human! Leave a Reply Cancel reply.
Heaven – My African Adventure
https://myadventuresinafricadotcom.wordpress.com/2014/11/17/heaven
November 17, 2014. November 18, 2014. The food and cocktails lived up to expectations, my Spice Tour dessert was delicious and the view, well decide for yourself. I thoroughly enjoyed the evening but did feel a little uncomfortable that almost all, and at some points all, the diners were white. Is this because it is an American run restaurant or because of the cost? Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Fill in your details below or click an icon to log in:. Akagera National Park – My African Adventure
https://myadventuresinafricadotcom.wordpress.com/2014/11/15/akagera-national-park
November 15, 2014. We met up with Astrid, Judith and Frieda at Chez Lando and Damascene, who was our guide for the weekend, and set off for Akagera National Park. http:/ www.rwandatourism.com/index.php/destinations-and-activities/akagera-park. After a quick freshen up we were back in the jeep for an afternoon tour of the park – heading up into the hills. I saw so many different animals in their natural habitat for the first time. And the sunset was beautiful. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. You are commentin...

November 6, 2014. November 6, 2014. Much hand washing later I proudly had all my laundry out on the line (with the exception of underwear which must be dried in the house) – but the houses either side beat me to it! When I first arrived all cooking was done on the two ringed hob but electricity is expensive and we have been cooking on the ibambura this week. I even got it lit on my own the other evening. One of the tastiest meals was Jo’s tomato and pea curry though! As keeping up with washing, shopping,...

Tuesday, 30 June 2015. Someone Always Gets to Them First. Of the original run of Fighting Fantasy. Gamebooks, Keith Martin's Night Dragon. Was the one I played last. It wasn't the last one I acquired - as previously explained. That was Siege of Sardath. But I'd already had a couple of goes at a library copy of Siege. A while before I properly restarted my FF collection. As with most of the last additions to that collection, I got ND on eBay. Mediocre, but it'd be even worse without that rule. Avoiding so...

December 4, 2013 · 4:46 pm. My Armpits Hurt and Other Three-Legged Lessons. About a week ago, in the most mundane of circumstances, I dislocated my patella (that’s your knee cap for anyone who didn’t go to medical school) and tore my MCL (that’s the ligament that keeps your shin attached to your knee). Since then I’ve learned quite a few things. A few I already knew and had forgotten, others I wasn’t aware of yet. Some things you learn when life (literally) knocks you down:. 1) Asking for help blows.

My African Adventure – My trip to Rwanda Oct 2014
November 18, 2014. Top Tips for those visiting Jo in Rwanda. Some things it might be useful to know:. A motorcycle helmet is essential if you are going to use moto taxis. The ones provided are either broken or far too big. Take sensible shoes with good tread – that way you have a fighting chance of staying upright in the mud. Leave your UK Health and Safety ideas at home and just enjoy the ride – be it bus, taxi or moto! Don’t wear heels on safari! November 17, 2014. November 18, 2014. A two course meal ...

Adventures in art journaling
Sunday, July 19, 2015. I am taking some time out today to share a few random projects and some journal pages with you! I have to be honest my journal has been a bit neglected but I have gotten back into the swing of things and am feeling super inspired! I have also been making fun Pocket Letters. I love swapping these you never know what you might receive! The top one was for a Heidi Swapp exchange and the other (which I adore) is for a Marilyn Monroe swap@ So much fun! Have a great day! I added some cut...

Adventures in Baby Growing. Sunday, April 7, 2013. 13 weeks minus 1 day Well, it was 3 weeks ago when Simon and I went to see our little one for the first time. The long awaited 10 week ultra sound. Our big question was- one? She said something and then left the room with an, "I'm sorry." How lost I felt. What just happened? I didn't throw up once with my pregnancy with Vaela and just the morning before I tossed my bran flakes into the toilet! 1 in 4 pregnancies end in miscarriage! Interview With A Vaela.

Adventures in Baking
Monday, November 1, 2010. My Adventures in Baking. Baking is My Passion. My interest in baking began in my home economics class in junior high school. I’m sure that sewing, cleaning, and cooking were part of the curriculum, but baking is what I remember. My favorite memory from that class is baking Buttons and Bowknots. The recipe we used was found in Betty Crocker’s Cookbook. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). My Adventures in Baking. View my complete profile. Ethereal theme. Powered by Blogger.

My Adventures in Beekeeping | On bees, queens, and stings!
My Adventures in Beekeeping. On bees, queens, and stings! New Additions to the Apiary! August 14, 2015. August 14, 2015. On one of the many beekeeping forums I’m a part of on facebook, I happened to stumble across a post from a woman who was having to sell off all of her beekeeping supplies and two hives due to a severe allergy she had developed. She and I touched base and almost exactly 24 hours later, my husband and I were on a two hour road trip to collect our new hives! In addition to the time of day...
