The Monkey Adventures: Birthday Tea Party fun!
http://themonkeysadventure.blogspot.com/2012/09/birthday-tea-party-fun.html
Sunday, 23 September 2012. Birthday Tea Party fun! What can you do for party fun with your 6year old girl who is friends with 'everyone'? I guess I coudl have contacted the local hall, hired out the bouncy castle, put on a spread, organised the games and the prizes. Hang on. How much would all that cost? Then there are the party bags. And, honestly, she is friends with everyone. In her class of at least 17. I just can't afford all that! The last Party she went to was a Tea Party at a new cafe in town.

Simply Fresh: October 2013
http://beingjayne.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
Wednesday, October 9, 2013. Someone told me or I read somewhere, probably one of those annoying quotes from a sanctimonious mother, that when you have kids time goes by faster. Regardless of where it came from, I am starting to believe it. I don't know if it's because I returned to a mismatch of a teaching load, or that I signed up to be on our local teacher associations executive or that I re committed to girl guides. Either way I feel swamped. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

Simply Fresh: May 2013
http://beingjayne.blogspot.com/2013_05_01_archive.html
Wednesday, May 22, 2013. Bring on the sun. We have had beautiful weather here. I actually wish summer was like this, it's hot but a nice cool breeze and no bugs! It's projects projects projects around here. Davide is repairing the back garage, mom and dad are planting the garden and helping me clean up the yard. Mateo loves being outside and follows me around, helping when needed. Even though the days are getting longer they seem to being going by faster. May is already coming to an end. And we a...Actua...

The Monkey Adventures: The Olympic Torch comes to our wee county - Part 2
http://themonkeysadventure.blogspot.com/2012/06/olympic-torch-comes-to-our-wee-county_11.html
Monday, 11 June 2012. The Olympic Torch comes to our wee county - Part 2. So, after all our making yesterday. We had places to go today! We thought we would just have a wee sit down whilst we waited. Mrs Goo was so excited to have her new hair in for today's adventure. Doesn't she look all lovely and festive? The bus arrived moments after the children had sat down. And we were off! Wanna know where the mystery adventure is taking us? Well, the first stop is a queue. Can you tell what it is yet? Right the...

The Monkey Adventures: February 2012
http://themonkeysadventure.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Friday, 24 February 2012. Here is my boy. I am so proud of him! Last month we visited the dentist expecting a clean bill of health because. That was what we have been given last time, with pats on the back included. Unfortunately, I screwed up. I let my children brush their own teeth and I did it waaay to often. The dentist decided that the best thing to do was take it way. Before it got hold and fill it to help protect it. My heart felt like it literally dropped into my stomach :'o (. Not even a flinch.

Simply Fresh: All In The Family
http://beingjayne.blogspot.com/2015/08/all-in-family.html
Wednesday, August 12, 2015. All In The Family. This will be my third post about berry picking and I am not even ashamed! When I was a kid I loved and hated berry picking. I loved the berries but hated the work. But I still did it. Probably because my parents made me. That got me thinking about where my love for wild berries came from. The easy answer would be through experiences; picking then baking with my parents. But where did their love come from? Well the likely source was their parents! Now a criti...

Simply Fresh: July 2015
http://beingjayne.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
Tuesday, July 28, 2015. This morning I whipped up a batch of raspberry jam. I did it with Micah next to me playing with pots and pans, while Mateo entertained himself. Davide came home at lunch. I said you know we make a good team, I think we could be homesteaders. He laughed and said no thanks! But I was more complimenting him. He has been busy renovating our basement. His project last night was laying flooring in the bathroom. Tonight he will install the new vanity and sink. Monday, July 27, 2015.

Simply Fresh: July 2013
http://beingjayne.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
Monday, July 22, 2013. The house is empty. It's been a hustle and bustle the past week. My sister and her family were visiting. Mom and Dad were in from the lake and my brother made his appearances. But now there is silence (thank god for breast feeding). I remember as a child always being sad when company left, whether it was cousins from out of town or a friend from a sleep over. There was so much excitement then nothing, everyone scattered to their rooms or a spot on the couch and just vegged out.

Simply Fresh: December 2015
http://beingjayne.blogspot.com/2015_12_01_archive.html
Monday, December 7, 2015. It's my favourite time of the year - Christmas! I love everything about the season. I have found that over the last few years more and more people find it too busy and stressful. I can understand that, but for me it's a time for family and food. This past weekend we got our Christmas Tree. Christmas has become more exciting now that Mateo understands. His excitement makes it all feel so nostalgic. It was 6. I don't ever remember a December this warm. These boys are my world!
