If this failed she was going to sleep with oxygen saturations in the 80’s and she was going to live through it. I rocked her as she drank her milk. She was distracted and her hands were busy so I was in luck. Her head got heavy and her eyes closed and finally…yes finally…she was asleep! I mean…WE WON! I think she gets her energy from her dad.

November 8, 2013. August 15, 2013. I have forgotten how pain makes one strangely poetic. Forgotten how pain just slice you up from the inside, leaving you no place to run. Forgot how life used to be before you. Forgot how to be the strong type of person I thought I could be. And oh, forgot what is was like to be me. When someone else hurts you, a hug from another makes it alright. But when the another hurts you, it is inevitable for the skies to just crumbling down somehow. March 13, 2013.
