My Mommy Group | when one just isn't enough
When one just isn't enough. March 3, 2014. And most of the group would respond. It never failed. We shared test results, diet changes, and our worst fears with each other. My mommy group is going through this too. That in itself conquered the biggest human fear. We are not alone in our endeavors. This is why we decided to start this blog. Our reply, My mommy group. February 28, 2014. I’m a twenty-nine year old stay at home mom. I’ll admit that I watch more reality tv shows than I probably...My husband an...

My Mommy Has Breast Cancer, But She Is OK! Thursday, April 29, 2010. What Others Are Saying. It was a pleasure when I read it too! My Mom, My Hero
It was my mom who taught me about reaching deeply for courage in the face of cancer. Never give up! My mom spoke these words for 16 years, up to the day she passed. I will never forget those words. Breast cancer is the leading cause of cancer death in women between the ages of 15 and 54, and the second cause of cancer death in women 55 to 74. Early detection of breast cancer, through monthly breast self-exam and particularly yearly mammography after age 40, offers the best chance for survival.

Adventures in Motherhood
Wednesday, August 21, 2013. Family, Food and Fireworks. I think we've started a tradition with mom and dad. They like to come visit over July 4th and do 4th of July festivities with us and our friends. The parade was so much fun. After it was over we all went home to get some rest, go for a swim then a cookout with the Henson's at our house. To be followed by some late night fireworks. 4th of July was a blast and loved spending it with friends and family. Can't wait for next year! Happy Dad's Day 2013.

My Journey through Mommyhood
My Journey through Mommyhood. Wednesday, June 18, 2014. Today was hard. Brutal. Sometimes being a mom is super hard. Sometimes life in general is hard. It doesn't mean that I'm failing as a mother or that I'm doing life wrong. It is just hard, because it is. As one of my favorite author's, Glennon Melton. The only fires I like include s'mores anyway. Friday, July 26, 2013. Back to Work.in a New Way. And I said, "YES! Wednesday, May 29, 2013. Thursday, May 23, 2013. The Darkness Before the Light. Exceptional Simplicities-cultivating you so you can give to them
This blog has gotten a slight makeover (slight like a trim, not Botox), and taken up a new residence. I'm going to give this blogging thing another whirl. It's such a healthy outlet and a good way to connect with others, and keep my ideas from slipping away. So if you don't have too many abandonment issues from my disappearance, I'd love for you to stop in now and then. I'll be writing at www.exceptionalsimplicities.blogspot.com. Or just www.exceptionalsimplicities.com. I go through cycles of spending my...
