The search, purchase, rebuilding, V8 conversion, and racing of a Chevy S10 purchased for $500.00. Tuesday, August 15, 2006. Well, I wanted to get a baseline performance of the truck with everything stock. I was going to do this with my G-Tech. With no tach to calibrate the G-Tech, and no cigarette lighter in the truck, and with a blown head gasket, we figured that it was too much trouble for the data. 1/8: 12.23 @ 55.46mph. 1/4: 19.01 @ 70.47mph. I think we can improve these. Don't you?

The search, purchase, rebuilding, V8 conversion, and racing of a Chevy S10 purchased for $500.00. Tuesday, August 15, 2006. We inventoried all parts available to us last night. I won't list them here, but we have almost everything we need for an engine except bearings, intake, and freeze plugs. We may need a fuel pressure regulator and we definitely need a fuel pump. We also need to get a donor TH350 transmission. We've got all the parts to rebuild an upgrade a turbo 350, but no actual transmission.

Well, on one of Eric's trip to the boneyard he found a transmission for the truck. It's a non-lockup Turbo Hydramatic 350.
