We got a mock up motor together to bolt up to our junkyard trans. After getting the old motor mounts cut out, and plumb bobbing the centerline of the front crossmember, we were ready to drop our mock up motor and trans in place. We also shifted the motor about 2 inches to the passenger side to make room for fabricating headers...

Well, on one of Eric's trip to the boneyard he found a transmission for the truck. It's a non-lockup Turbo Hydramatic 350.
