Sunday, February 1, 2015. 189; cup butter. 1 cup all-purpose flour. 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened. 1 large box (5.1 ounces) vanilla instant pudding. 1 8 oz. container cool whip (just enough for a thin layer. I don't use the whole container) or one batch of homemade whipped cream. Chocolate syrup or homemade chocolate sauce. Preheat oven to 400. Lightly grease a 9"X13" glass baking pan. Saturday, December 6, 2014. 1 pkg Nutter Butter cookies (broken… use cookie with the cream center). 1 8oz package cream cheese (softened). 1 Finely crush all but 5 cookies in a food processor or place them in a ziploc bag and crush into a fine consistency. 2 Combine with cream cheese. Use the back of a large spoon to help mash the two together. 3 Roll the mixture into 1″ balls and place on wax paper covered cookie sheet. 5 Once dry, refrigerate and enjoy! Makes about 30 balls. Wednesday, April 1, 2015. 1 yellow cake mix. 1/2 cup butter (1 cube), melted. 1 8 ounce package cream cheese, softened. 1 stick butter, melted. 3 cups powdered sugar. Combine crust ingredients and pat into a 9 X 13 pan. Beat cream cheese, eggs, and vanilla until smooth. Add butter and sugar. Mix well. Pour over crust. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Variations: use lemon cake mix and add lemon juice and zest to filling, use chocolate cake mix and add 3/4 cup peanut butter to the filling.

Friday, June 3, 2011. Field trip to Old Kasaan. I was in the "big boat" with the little kids and girls. The boat was not made to restrain students as much as I had pictured when we planned the trip. It had two seats, so most of us sat in the bottom of the boat. Here is a picture of my view as we went, there wasn't much holding us in. What you don't see is that as the boat speeds up it tips. Monday, May 23, 2011. Josh's baptism and a Halibut. This Sunday was Joshua's 8th birthday. He was baptized at the church right after church. He was very excited and everything went well. We got 10 pounds of meat off of it. Not big for a halibut, but perfect size if your going for quality meat. Then all the kids had to get in the boat while Stewart took it from the dock to shore to load it back on the trailer. It was such a beautiful evening that I had to get a picture. First, melt 1 tablespoon butter in a medium-sized frying pan over moderate heat, and add 1 medium sweet onion (about 1/2 pound), sliced. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the onion softens, then caramelizes. This should take between 20 and 25 minutes, at medium-low heat. The lower the heat, the longer it takes, but the less likely you are to burn the onions. When the onions are medium brown, remove them from the heat. Author: Pinch of Yum.
