My Yummy Goodness: June 2009
http://myyummygoodness.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
Just a Southern Girl Trying to Cook. Saturday, June 27, 2009. I also saw these on Stephanie's blog, I just absolutely. Love her blog. She makes stuff that Jason would eat. I improvised this a little, just left some stuff out, that's all. But they were just as good. I will be making these again. I am going to post her recipe and put to the side what I omitted. Source: Macaroni and Cheesecake. 2 8-oz. packages cream cheese, softened. 1 1/3 cup shredded Mexican blend cheese. 1 teaspoon garlic, finely minced.

Just a Southern Girl Trying to Cook. Thursday, September 25, 2008. Lindsey's Yummy Goodness of a Chicken Casserole. Jason went out of town this past weekend on a dirt bike trip. I thought I could handle being at the house alone, but I was on the phone with Lindsey, and she talked me into staying the night, thank goodness because I wouldn't have discovered the most amazing casserole! I don't know what it is called, but when I put it in my mouth.I thought "OH MY GOSH! 2 cans Cream of Chicken. Pour into pre...

http://jillspartyofsix.blogspot.com/2009/12/new-day.html
Jills Party of Six. Wednesday, December 16, 2009. There is a new day dawning. I love this blog but as you can see, it's a deserted wasteland, neglected and unattended. I had great intentions although no direction. I love to write, I love to cook, and I love photography. This was ME. But, here it sits, almost empty. No more. I have a vision! I will be back and ready to get started after the New Year. It will be another great adventure! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). A Few of My Favorites.

These aren't the greatest pictures in the world, but you will get the idea. Front of the house. 1 1/2 lbs ground beef.

LAZY, I tell you! 1 (3-4 lb) chuck roast. 2 cans beef broth. 1 cup red cooking wine. Mushrooms (the recipe calls for shitake mushrooms, but I use button mushrooms). 1 onion, cut in strips.

http://newlywedchef.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
Finding My Inner Domestic Goddess. One amusing mistake at a time! Monday, July 20, 2009. Several months ago, in an effort to cut our grocery budget, I began meal planning. I have always been terrible about ending up with a lot of main dishes and no sides, or vice versa. Since I've started planning out our menus, I feel like I have some order to my life! Monday - Smothered pork chops, mashed potatoes, green beans. Tuesday - Pigs in a blanket, mac and cheese. Friday - yard sale day - out or sandwhich.

The first time I ever paid bills completely one my own, without help from my parents was in this apt. Matt and I got engaged at this apt. Our "babies" were born in this apartment. Finding My Inner Domestic Goddess...: Taco Soup
http://newlywedchef.blogspot.com/2009/10/taco-soup.html
Finding My Inner Domestic Goddess. One amusing mistake at a time! Thursday, October 15, 2009. I have been making this taco soup for a few years now. I'm not exactly sure where the recipe came from, I think it is more of a combination of recipes that I saw and liked. I always make a huge batch of this, then freeze it, so it makes several meals for us. If you just want a normal size batch of soup, make sure to halve this recipe. 1 1/2 lbs ground beef. 1 medium onion, chopped. 4 cans kidney beans. I’d...

Thursday, July 30, 2015. Saving to try again. We did not like the sauce, but the "insides" were good. Up to) 1 Tbsp sriracha hot sauce. Tuesday, July 28, 2015.
Taste Buds are the Best Buds
Monday, August 4, 2014. Zucchini Sticks with Sweet Onion Sauce. First, melt 1 tablespoon butter in a medium-sized frying pan over moderate heat, and add 1 medium sweet onion (about 1/2 pound), sliced. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the onion softens, then caramelizes. This should take between 20 and 25 minutes, at medium-low heat. The lower the heat, the longer it takes, but the less likely you are to burn the onions. When the onions are medium brown, remove them from the heat. Author: Pinch of Yum.
