Narrowboat Aylmer: Milton Keynes to Northampton

http://www.narrowboataylmer.blogspot.com/2015/06/milton-keynes-to-northampton.html

Husband Tony and I travel the British Waterways on our 57ft narrowboat Aylmer. Monday, 1 June 2015. Milton Keynes to Northampton. Saturday 23rd May 2015. We met up with Aria and Teezy, all mooring together for the night between Wolverton and Cosgrove where many runners passed us. We discovered they were on a charity run from Birmingham to London, over 150 miles, and running through the night with torches strapped to their heads. Now that is dedication for you. Milton Keynes - Who'd have thought it? Havin...

Husband Tony and I travel the British Waterways on our 57ft narrowboat Aylmer. Sunday, 14 September 2014. You do see some strange sights on the canals. This one has left me speechless! Approaching Watford, just below Lady Capel's Lock is this cute little whitewashed turnover bridge where the towpath changes from one side of the canal to the other. Leading us to. And he did actually catch a fish. Who also moor at Hallingbury Mill, also on their way home. Jan, Tony, Paul and Denise. On Sunday 7th September...

Narrowboat Aylmer: May 2014

http://www.narrowboataylmer.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html

Husband Tony and I travel the British Waterways on our 57ft narrowboat Aylmer. Friday, 23 May 2014. Over the last 30 years or so Tony and I have owned several boats and had various adventures on river, canal and sea. We've seen one boat notch up more miles by road as we moved home around the country and towed another to the South of France where it set light to the cleanest lake in France! I intend using this blog as a personal record of some of our journeys, trials and tribulations on Aylmer. It won...

Bob Colebeck and Bron Marie met in 1999 in Paringa, in the Riverland of South Australia. Our shared passion for travel, music, literature and exploring life soon meant that we were planning to make new adventures a normal part of our lives. We also had to renew Bob’s UK passport and get a visa allowing Bron to settle with him in the UK for the duration of this adventure. And then there was saving the money to buy the boat and making sure we had been diligent with our superannuation savings to f...We don&...

Narrowboat Blog

A blog about my 70' Narrowboat Sirius and anything related to Narrowboats. Monday, July 05, 2010. Sirius is finally back home again! I have finally managed to bring Sirius back to Berkshire after being moored for almost a year in and around London on the River Lee, Regents Canal, Grand Union Canal and of course the Thames. It was good fun staying in London, but now Sirius needs some TLC and a good amount of DIY to get her back into shape. I am not looking forward to the painting! Posted by Chris Houston.

The Boys on Tour. Mum and Dads travels around the Inland Waterways of England. Costs of living on a narrow boat (Updated for December 2014). Friday, 1 May 2015. A dead end to . . . .
