Narrowboat Ellis: Christmas on the boat and a couple of losses.
http://narrowboatellis.blogspot.com/2016/12/christmas-on-boat-and-couple-of-losses.html
In MY mind, this is a record of the pre-build, build and (hopefully) life aboard the good ship 'Ellis' (yes I know - she's a boat not a ship! Tuesday, 27 December 2016. Christmas on the boat and a couple of losses. I'm a bit late posting this but Merry Christmas folks. Couple of reasons for the delay - the first being that having decided to spend the big day itself on the boat, a bit of emergency bed frame construction was required. Side just not the 'right side if you follow. Have been a better option.

A weekend off, 2 sets of visitors and a Ginger moment. We'll start in reverse order. With this in mind, I set to and measured the space above the basin in the bathroom and the corresponding area above the toilet. It then occurred it might be an idea to have another mirror the opposite side of the bathroom bulkhead in the main bedroom.

In MY mind, this is a record of the pre-build, build and (hopefully) life aboard the good ship 'Ellis' (yes I know - she's a boat not a ship! Friday, 27 January 2017. Experimenting with "heating fuels" and another sad loss. It's been a very busy week at work - we're having to go back down to Margate again on Sunday afternoon until "whenever the job's done" to pull down the speedway we repaired back in July. that ruddy thing seems to be cursed as whenever work is planned on it, someone dies. Tomorrow, aft...

http://nbinca.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
The adventures of Gary and Carolyn living aboard and continuously cruising the uk canals and rivers on narrowboat Inca. Tuesday, 30 June 2015. After a good night in Warwick we awoke with the thought of the Hatton flight of 21 locks in front of us . In fact it was 23 locks as there are the 2 Warwick cape locks before the main flight. But lucky for us there was a boat waiting on the bottom lock landing for a boat to share with. Tuesday, June 30, 2015. Monday, 29 June 2015. One of the most famous boats on t...
Narrowboat Inca: Ticked the box
http://nbinca.blogspot.com/2015/08/ticked-box.html
The adventures of Gary and Carolyn living aboard and continuously cruising the uk canals and rivers on narrowboat Inca. Thursday, 6 August 2015. We pulled pins at dead on 07.00 with our travelling companions for the day Neil and Ann on NB Heartsease. I think they were just as keen as us to get down through all of those 14 hard heavy locks in one day. With most of the industry gone at least the remaining chimneys serve a good purpose as mobile phone masts. Thursday, August 06, 2015. 6 August 2015 at 05:57.

We pulled pins at 07.45 and dropped down the lock and into Shardlow. Curly liked this planter. Soon we were through Trent lock and out onto The River Trent. After being advised by the people in the rubber dinghy about all of the sailing dinghies we made a left turn and into the mouth of the Erewash canal. We eventually found a bit of open country near Shipley loc...

After pulling pins at 09.00 from Willington the decision was made to stop at Branston (Birthplace of the famous Pickle) for the the rest of the day and the night .There's a large lake and of course a play park . Curly had great fun watching me getting in a pickle trying to climb to the top of a 5 foot wall. Eventually I made ….just. Another good boat name ….
