Our year in Australia. Thursday, October 8, 2009. We would probably play more tennis here in Aus, but there are no free public courts. Everywhere you go you have to pay a fee to hire a court. Bummer. Still, its not too terribly expensive and we've played several times with the Brenners and Stuarts. Always a good way to get some exercise while still having fun. Jon and Paul serving. Our year in Australia. Sunday, August 24, 2008. Outback Excursion 2: Uluru Sunrise. Day two got off to an EARLY start as Paul, our guide, got us up at 5:00 AM to give us time to get ready to leave to be at Uluru for the 6:30 sunrise. This year, having lost 60 lbs and after a few months training at the gym, I was forced to "become an idiot". 2008 - I labeled this pic "The Three Idiots". 2009 - Who's the "idiot" now? The other thing we had been talking about for a year or so was getting a camper. So here it is our new Jayco Camper. The kids were so excited at after our long long truck drive down south, we got to explore and live in our new camper for a whole week. The camper worked out GREAT, what a blessing. Notes from the Hawk's Nest. Monday, December 10, 2012. The beginning of September was our first trip to the ocean with the kids, who loved the waves, swimming, and sand. Gulf Shores Beach was beautiful. The kids were again so excited to get into the ocean and ride the waves. The Alabama sun was so good to us and sent us all home with wonderful tans and enough vitamin D to get through Indiana's gray winter. Look at the awesome power of these waves. But all good things must come to an end! It's How We Roll.

Here we are warming and drying by the fire. Yes that is steam. Look at these happy kids all ready to take a hike in the rain. Saturday; Praise the Lord the sun was shining on this clear cool morning! Even though everything was still wet, the sun was shining! He got some of Andrew's GI Joes! Trip was the hiking!

Our year in Australia. Tuesday, October 20, 2009. Jay and Karen left on Sunday after spending 3 weeks either visiting us or traveling the Southern Hemisphere. I've got a lot of photos (though Jay has more) and stories to tell, but I want to begin with their last day here cause it was AWESOME. Is that gorgeous, or what? Clarice took this awesome shot horizontally, but I cropped it into a vertical shot to accentuate the awesome sun glare on the still waters sitting on top the rocks. And what a sunrise!
