Thursday, May 28, 2015. Wednesday, May 20, 2015. Fordyce Trail to Lake Spaulding inlet. Although there were 4 of us hiking, three of us felt compromised due to a table falling on a toe, a back hurting, and viral symptoms continuing for a few days. We figured we would turn around if any one person felt worse. Or even later when at 11:30 it started thundering. Wednesday, October 29, 2014. Clockwise Grouse Ridge around Island, up to Penner, Down to Shotgun and back UP. After lunch we cross-countried down to Shotgun Lake, cutting off a few miles of hiking out of Penner and around past Rock Lake. The cross-country was a bit steep in its descent with a few rolling rocks and hiking through brush. Once down to Shotgun the remainder of the trail was mostly uphill, some of it steep. We saw no one else. Over 8 miles with a 1600 ft elevation gain. Heading to Donner Peak.

Sunday, November 23, 2014. With rain predicted for later in the day ,seven of us hiked (walked? The 9 mile Gracie Ditch. Except for a few drops here and there, we completed the hike dry but hungry. Wednesday, July 15, 2015. Warren Lake Trail and around Castle. Six of us hiked 9.5-10 miles, depending on which numbers you believe. The weather was perfect as we headed steeply up the flowered Warren Lake Trail to the saddle between Frog Lake Overlook and Castle Peak. We decided to cross country towards Castle as we hadn't done that before. We stopped at a few volcanic overlooks but opted to eat lunch in the shade of some trees. Yellow trace is one from today.
