Keep it simple

Tuesday, July 9, 2013. I have just decided to finally get a tattoo on my foot. There is a story behind the design and why I wanted one. A few years ago I went through a really hard time in my personal life and relationship with God. I kept asking God why certain things happened to me. I started questioning a lot of my life in general. I'm sure that I will get lots of judgment for making this decision to have a permanent reminder of my faith in God. But it's my life and I want to live it. I have had peopl...

Keep it simple: Different parenting styles

http://www.olderthanwelook.blogspot.com/2012/03/different-parenting-styles.html

Thursday, March 15, 2012. As my children have been growing up I have had lots of different people put in their opinion on how to raise them. I have learned to let it on one ear and out the other but sometimes it bothers me so much. It's like these people are saying that everything I have done with my kids is wrong. This has been running through my head for a while and I just needed to get it off my chest. I know I'm not the only mother that has felt like this. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Keep it simple: February 2011

http://www.olderthanwelook.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html

Wednesday, February 16, 2011. Doing something for a long time doesn't necessarily make you an expert, but never having done something does make you a rookie. Experience in a lot of different things can make you more agile, flexible and better at problem solving than someone who has a ton of experience at doing one thing. Most people learn more by doing than by reading, writing or listening about how to do something. Thursday, February 10, 2011. Tuesday, February 1, 2011. The Rule of 3. We know what you a...

Monday, September 26, 2011. I've heard it said that love isn't just a noun, it's also a verb. That is so true. It's easy to say I love you to someone but it may be hard to show that love. When you say I love you to someone, do you just say it in passing? I know I'm probably stepping on toes but this has been on my heart for a while. When someone feels unloved they deal with a lot of different emotions at one time. Indifference is the same as not loving someone to me. Thursday, September 8, 2011. I love t...

He speaks out loud while reading and listening to me. “He has Russell Silver- woo that changes everything.”. FINALLY someone with a LITTLE bit of experience. Joy In the Journey. Life with Faith-Family- and Rare Disease. Friday, January 4, 2013. Amazed, Blown away and Grateful. We have had several family needs for some time. Both Bowen and I needing new cars was at the top of the list. We have been contently (some days). Waiting for the blessing. provision, deal, and clarity on what to do and not do. Some day in weariness I would feel deserted- Where are you God? He did not have AC for a year while driving that car. S o we were at a cross roads. Could we trade...

One of my dear friends has saying "It's just a love test" I have always agreed and been influenced by the way she loves as women of God. I want to choose to always love you and others. We still go to the pool for a dip to cool off after homework is done. Our swim suits and beach towel's are on hooks ready But yes the schedule has changed. Organized focus, early bedtimes, homework. All that comes with letting go of summer. HA! For her feels different for our first borne. Denise L. French, M. Ed. Saturday, August 13, 2011.

Older Than the Stars || Karen C. Fox

How old are you? Older than you think. The iron in your blood may have once been part of a volcano…. The calcium in your bones may have been part of an ancient oyster shell…. The oxygen in your lungs was once probably breathed by dinosaurs…. And every little bit of you was once part of a star. In a way, you are as old as the universe itself. Acting My (Vint)Age

Tuesday, March 25, 2014. Every year when I see little green shoots poking out of the ground I become hopeful for a healthy, green summer vegetable garden in spite of past experience. That in less than two months the blistering-hot sun will scorch leaves, daytime temperatures will cause chronic wilting, and all the stress will make the plants susceptible to pests and diseases. But this is such a cheerful sight! This year I decided to just empty all my old tomato seed packets (some of them 7 years old!

Is now available in the shop. Has been mastered. We are doing some minor tweaking (as usual) and then the audio production will actually be finished. The Evildoers' new album, Pop Fantasy/Rock Empire. Is almost complete. We have the pre-mastered files on a hard drive ready to be mastered. The CD design is not so far along. Xander and Charlie still need to pick a back cover photo and finalize the liner notes. Hopefully it will be ready by mid-October. Here is the new website.
