At the new Sherman Hospital in Elgin, IL on September 16th, 2010 at 3:17pm we welcomed our firstborn son, Micah Ryan Carter, into this world weighing 7 pounds 11 ounces and measuring 21 inches. His due date was September 20th, so he dutifully answered mommy's requests to please be early, definitely not late!
