In July 2011, after extensive renovation to the Locomotive works end of the buildings, Oswestry Health Centre opened on this site as a multi-purpose outpatient healthcare centre. In December 2012, a new community ambulance station opened at the Oswestry Health Centre. The new facility has parking for ambulances, rapid response vehicles and ambulance crew. I’m very pleased to share the results of printing Mark Tatlow’s intricate designs for his 4mm scale ‘Scrap Tank’ project. Thanks for the link Mark! The update on the Scrap Tank test build shows it looking like this:. So it is back to the CAD machine to draw up a series of 3D masters; in the top view some piston rods/part of the cross head, rear sand boxes, clack valves (now the right size which is much much smaller).

Firstly on Sunday 31st May I was in Bideford at the North Devon Model Railway Show once again. This time though I took along some of my bits and bobs to show the folk down there. It was a nice little show and the visitors all were nice and friendly. I even made it into the local newspaper there! 7 June 2015 at 20:24.

Sunday, 28 September 2014. CNCing about Part 4. Sometimes you think you have figured something out and then it goes and does something else which leaves you baffled. These were modelled up in Inventor and the G Code was generated. I have decided to make them out of 0.5mm thick plasticard as it means I can glue them easily to each other and the wooden laser cut kit. Its also a bit easier to machine (or so I thought). Strange as the feedrate and the spindle speed haven't changed. Its time to have a rethink.

Sunday, 21 October 2012. I have decided to take a bit of a break from the layout. It was getting a bit frustrating and I wasnt doing as good a job with it as I could, that plus the fact I had to remind myself that its a hobby after all and it should be enjoyable! Refreshed with this in my head I have turned once again to my favorite side of the hobby which is designing and building engines.
