Our Great Southern Land: About
http://ourgreatsouthernland.blogspot.com/p/about-me_28.html
I'm a vision-impaired 40-something chick who loves history, researching old towns, railway stations and tracing the weird and bizarre tales and people from long ago. I have a lovely teenage son with Aspergers, known as The Feral Aspie Teen and my hubby is The Spouse. I have a huge love affair with the Central Victorian town of Dunolly where we are moving to in a couple of years. I also have a strong streak of sarcasm and it runs amok, frequently. I can be contacted by email. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
Our Great Southern Land: Writings
http://ourgreatsouthernland.blogspot.com/p/dunolly-district.html
I have many areas of interest in which I like to write, these are my other blogs. I read and review as many Aussie-penned books as I can at the following blog. Some poetry, short stories, odes and general drivel from my brain. A collection of forgotten riches of Australian history and society I have researched. Another daily history blog about a beautiful oasis in Central Victoria, Dunolly and the surrounding district. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Watermark template. Powered by Blogger.

Our Great Southern Land: Public transport is treated as a joke
http://ourgreatsouthernland.blogspot.com/2010/09/public-transport-is-treated-as-joke.html
Thursday, September 9, 2010. Public transport is treated as a joke. This is me having a good old whinge. Public Transport Minister Pakula is living in la-la land. He thinks buses are perfectly acceptable and the answer to all our public transport shortfalls. Let's have a look at trying to push a wheelchair onto a bus - near impossible. The connecting coaches to the V/Line regional trains, which are supposedly the replacement for all those regional railway stations remaining closed? Go look at this HERE.

I don't do mornings!!!: Hospital...
http://idontdomornings.blogspot.com/2012/07/hospital.html
I don't do mornings! Sunday, July 15, 2012. I have been quoted as saying that I cannot get enough of Hospital dramas. on the television and in real life. But this time I have had enough! Hubby has been in hospital with a skin infection at the base of his spine. Initially diagnosed as a Pilonidal Sinus (PS), but not your typical PS infection. This comment has been removed by the author. Febrile is a word I need to look up. I have noted that you, with insider knowledge, took A to emergency. Bush Babe of Oz.

I don't do mornings! Monday, September 03, 2012. Where has the year gone? Is it really September already? You could have fooled me :P. So much has happened! Hubby is slowly healing. It has taken time given the nature of his infection and the fact that he has two surgeries to evacuate the collection of the infected exudate. He has returned to work and enjoying the new area he is working in. Hi Cazzie: what a lovely story of survival . I love the pictures and Ill bet you are much cooler than we are now.

probably, but not likely: Saturday outing
http://probablybutnot.blogspot.com/2012/08/sunday-outing.html
Probably, but not likely. Monday, August 20, 2012. Once again the call of older British cars, this time in Niagara-on-the-lake. I went for the chance of a lunch out, which I got, and an opportunity to wander the town. We ate lunch in the theatre cafe and walked the few blocks into the centre of town. We stepped into a few of the stores but found like I did on holiday that the chance of actually finding something new or unique is gone. Starbucks fitting nicely into the streetscape in a period building.

I don't do mornings! Wednesday, July 04, 2012. Fish out of water. The staff were very supportive, orientating me to their paper work, the layout of where essential items were kept and the routine of the night shift. Bloods after midnight, ECG for every patient early morning, hourly Vitals and hourly fluid balances. Then hourly blood sugars on my person newly diagnosed with Diabetes Type1. I would love to have you to be my nurse if i were in ward. You care. Bijoux de sac louis vuitton. Bush Babe of Oz.

2014 Australian Women Writers Challenge Forgotten Rebels of Eureka review. I've certainly set myself a decent challenge with this one, proposing to devour 20 books before years end and review them all. I've had a good start this year with Dr. Clare Wright's latest offing The Forgotten Rebels of Eureka - go buy it! How much has the Eureka Rebellion been twisted for various individuals and purposes other than it was first intended? That is up to the reader to conclude after the book is finished and we're f...
