Red Head + a Little Chick
Red Head a Little Chick. Friday, November 13, 2009. A" is for Alameda. In June, I had the great fortune of taking two friends and heading for the Alameda Flea Market. Let me just say, I Love, Love. As an avid collector of everything vintage, this is the place to go. A dream come true. The pot of gold. The find of finds. The place you can go to find all of those delicious do-dads that bless homes in the pages of magazines like Country Home and Country Living. Did I mention that I love Alameda? Its wheels ...

Our Little Red Hens
Our Little Red Hens. Monday, December 13, 2010. Tips, rules of thumb, gathered words to the wise. Belle here, cutting into the blog. I thought I would list all the advice we've been given about chickens that has proven true. The Nutshell on eggs! You and Your chickens. Chickens understand people and are not afraid of people. They see you as someone to boss around. They will talk to you and tell you what they want/need. Mash has higher protein level. Your laying chickens need feed with 18-20% protein&...

Our Little Red Saltbox
Our Little Red Saltbox.A step back to a simpler time of living. Friday, July 15, 2016. A Little Craft for Sale. I admit it's been a while since I last posted, but like all of you, life is very busy! I love summer, but I have to admit, it's a lot of work! Lawn mowing, weeding the vegetable garden, tending the flower beds, making jams and jellies, along with other canned goodies, and then there's the everyday house chores. I know you can all relate! Well today I have. A closer view of the pumpkins. This is...

Our Little Reed Family
Our Little Reed Family. I kinda think we rock. Friday, December 10, 2010. First Day of School! Dylan turning 3 meant all kinds of new changes for him education-wise. We've had 2 speech teachers meeting with him once a week for an hour for about the last year and a half, and there hasn't been a huge improvement. He's stopped saying some of the things he was before(backpack, map) but I think that's because we've cut down on his tv. Doesn't that face just say it all? Me being the crazie. Car' playtime. ...
Our Little Rehab | a tale of things that never go quite right
A tale of things that never go quite right. While the boy finishes the drum sander work, I am going to start working on bleaching the water stains out with oxalic acid. Hopefully it is the miracle that some people make it sound like. A few of the spots, especially the front entryway, are really going to need a bit of a miracle. That’s it for now, time for a little time off to do some wedding stuff…. Roll with the punches. Black stuff almost gone. We’re on a roll. My soon-to-be hubby and I are the proud n...
Our little remodel
December 22, 2010. Moving day v.2. Let me start by wishing a Happy holidays to all of Our Little Remodel readers. Todays title refers to Ginas Grandpa moving in with us Jan 1. . First I had to install the door to the dog room. Normally the doors go in after all the drywall and flooring is done, but in this case I needed to have the door installed first because the aluminum trim/threshold needed to fit inside the door trim and jamb to look right. And there they are. Two pieces of steel square...With th...
Our Little Remy | February 23rd, 2011, after a routine appointment at Downtown Women OBGYN in Soho, my wife, Mary, was instructed to go directly to the emergency room at NYU Tisch. She was having extreme back pain, chest pain, and shortness of breath. Fo
I’ve attempted to post so many times since posting Remy’s eulogy. On June 5th and my fingers just stopped working, my brain just went to mush and tears rolled down my eyes. It may sound contradictory to the message I set out to send. A message Remy embedded into so many, but it was a piece of me that seized to work and maybe it is just because I feel the urge to honor her on this special day that am able to do it today. December 25, 2011. June 5, 2011. I know that many of you who wanted to be there for R...

No lengthy excuses this time, I'm just too trifling to sit down and do it. Posted by Wendell Jr. Friday, July 1, 2011. Posted by Wendell Jr. Saturday, April 23, 2011.
Our Little Reviews
Monday, May 16, 2011. How Teething Robbed Us of Our Happiness. I have a happy baby. I'm not sure if you know that. He smiled when he was just a wee wisp of a person, and laughed before he was a month old. I even made a video. About him smiling when he was a month old. People comment all the time about what a good-natured, happy little guy he is. Kid Is. Happy. (I'm not bragging, as we obviously just got lucky. We won the baby lottery.). Gnaw our faces off. We were all, "Huh? WHERE IS OUR HAPPY BABY!
