Last update: March 27 2009. March 26 - 27. The stern stem has been added and faired. Further the designer John Winters requires that transfers are placed at the stern of the boat. I have also included the licence number under the wing of the bird. Bow stem faired and the boat has been given a name. After glueing on two additional strips, the stem is faired to be smooth against the hull. Glued first strip of outer stems. Steamed and bent the outer stems. Chiselled out a slot for the outer stems today.

Last update: April 20 2009. Excess glass cloth trimmed off. After a second coat. Half way thru the first coat. The excess epoxy is "squegeed" off and put in a tin can. Cloth cut and smoothed out in the boat. Sanding the inside is about the worst job in building this type of boat. At least I have been away paddling both weekends in the last two weeks which was good fun. Sanding is an arduous task that I do from time to time. The boat is now ready for epoxy coat on the inside.
