Aconcagua: Summit of the Americas: Route
http://aconcaguasummit.blogspot.com/p/route.html
Aconcagua: Summit of the Americas. Aconcagua is the second highest of the Seven Summits. Behind Mt. Everest, and the highest mountain outside of Asia. There are two primary approaches climbers chose to summit Aconcagua, The Normal Route. Via the Horcones Valley and the Polish Glacier via the Vacas and Relinchos Valley. I would be letting down my Polish heritage if we didn't make our summit attempt via the Polish Glacier. And so it was done, Aconcagua via the Polish Glacier Direct. Trip Report and Photos.

Aconcagua: Summit of the Americas. A special thanks to Jason and his girlfriend Niki for putting compiling this video of our trip from tons of footage. The hi-def video was captured using Jason's. Panasonic HDC-SD9, which records on flash memory cards. It has been beaten to death on many of his adventures and it works fantastic. It truly was bomber for this trip. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Aconcagua: Summit of the Americas: Training
http://aconcaguasummit.blogspot.com/p/home.html
Aconcagua: Summit of the Americas. A focused training regimen is critical for any high altitude expedition. I used road racing to keep my cardio in check for a majority of the year. My final race of the season, Iron Cross. Focus on not touching the ground, no matter how hard it may seem. This is the fastest way to ascend the mountain. I usually wear my mountaineering boots and fill my pack with about 50 lbs. 3 sets of 5 reps (5 min each). Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Trip Report and Photos.
