Panglossian Pessimist: October 2007

http://www.panglossianpessimist.blogspot.com/2007_10_01_archive.html

Wednesday, October 31, 2007. Trick or Treat. Now Gimme Some Candy. This is my favorite day of the year.what can be more fun for a theatre diva than dressing up and scaring people? Oh yeah, dressing up her child so HE can scare people. Usually, he ends up being something kitschy. Megaman (3 years in a row because the costume, if I do say so myself, was bloody brilliant) John Lennon (he got so much extra candy for that one) a Samurai warrior (rented, so I felt like it was cheating). So, what to be this year?

At first I shared these "feelings" with my friends.they would ask, out of politeness, how I did after an audition and I would answer them with either, "Oh, I know got that," or "I don't know! What if they didn't like me? Have they cast it yet? Should I call them? I quickly learned that alternating between conceit and paranoia did not sit well with my peers. I'll introduce you to mine if you introduce me to yours.". Grasshopper asked me if I ...

Panglossian Pessimist: Blog...Something

http://www.panglossianpessimist.blogspot.com/2007/11/blogsomething.html

Thursday, November 15, 2007. Battery loss is a theme for me this week. My car battery flipped out, my computer's motherboard battery fizzled, and my camera batteries died at a very important moment. All have been rectified.with the exception of the latter. If you would be so kind, I shall rectify it now. This was taken 20 minutes before my car fitzed. I watch it now and think, "Oh, if only she knew what will happen when she walks out of that room."). Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Panglossian Pessimist: Blog 19 - Keep on Truckin'

http://www.panglossianpessimist.blogspot.com/2007/11/blog-19-keep-on-truckin.html

Sunday, November 18, 2007. Blog 19 - Keep on Truckin'. Even though I blew it I'm still going to try and keep this up. Like John, I'll call a mulligan and see if anyone notices. I'm not sure if making an excuse will help my plight, but I'll give it a go. This weekend was the "Christmas" weekend. My brother and his wife, Satan, came to grace us with their presence - fully expecting us to grace them with presents. (If that wasn't so cheesy I'd be proud of the alliteration.). Why is she Satan? I could go on&...

Thursday, March 19, 2009. When Is Small Too Small? Alright, I get it already. In the quest to assure that Apple can microsize everything, they have released the latest iPod shuffle. While the technology is most impressive, for people like me, this is a slight nightmare. I can not tell you how many thumb drives I have lost this year alone. Now, spending the money on a MP3 player that looks like the size of a pill? Posted by Wonko D. Sane. Thursday, March 19, 2009. Labels: All Thinks Geeky. Many people rem...

Sunday, January 17, 2010. Don't Touch the Goats Wilber. How many of us in the asylum have a few childhood memories of visiting the petting zoo? I am sure that those who live on farms and regularly participate in the FFA program. Think that petting zoos are laughable. However, those of us who did not grow up under those conditions found the petting zoo to be not unlike Dr. Doolittle's home. To actually get the chance to pet a GOAT was something of amazement and wonder. Posted by Wonko D. Sane. When did it...

Sunday, June 21, 2009. Disperse Ye Rebels Disperse. History has a way of shoving an irony down your throat. Take for an example of one Major John Pitcairn. The major was stationed in Boston during the infamous Intolerable Acts that resulted from the Boston Tea Party of 1773. Although a British soldier, he was not totally disliked by the people of Boston and seemed to be fair to those in the city. Posted by Wonko D. Sane. Sunday, June 21, 2009. Thursday, June 18, 2009. Called Pamplin Park where you can experience the Civil War not from the viewpoint of the famous soldiers, but from the perspective of the soldier. This place is so well done and offers such a unique experience, I highly recommend it! Posted by Wonko D. Sane. Thursday, July 01, 2010. That was an awesome experience! http://wonkoscorner.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html

Saturday, March 27, 2010. When people are talking to you and say "and stuff" to you, does that make you wonder exactly what in the hell they are talking about? How did we get from equipping something to a word that can mean anything it wants to? So when people say something such as "I am mad at you and stuff," what in the hell are they trying to tell me. "I'm mad at you and you can kiss my ass" I can deal with, but "and stuff" I can't. Here are some other quick examples of what I am talking about:. Purch...

A Magniloquent Manifesto

Sunday, December 20, 2009. Well, this is the last post for my blog. The thing is, I don't know if I'm ready to stop blogging altogether. I know I'm done blogging about identity, I know that for sure, but I've enjoyed having a place to write things where it feels like people might actually read them. A friend of mine suggested that I start a pop-culture blog, because I have such weird and obscure taste in movies and television. So maybe I'll do that. SO thanks for reading, any of you who stuck with it!
