Sunday, June 30, 2013. Lilamand, Master of Fruit Confits! In Saint-Remy-de-Provence, Pierre Lilamand continues 5 generations of producing. The most wonderful "Fruit Confits". The process starts with perfect fruit.not blemished nor bruised.not too ripe! Much of his fruit is grown especially for Lilamand, using old varieties. There is one snow we all love.The Snow Globe! And there is no better Snow Globe than one from Vienna, where it all started. Created by Erwin Perzy, a medical instrument technician, in 1900 by accident. A surgeon asked Perzy to make the Edison light bulb brighter for his operating room in Vienna. Then the magic touch.

As an antique dealer, I can go through the gates to French antique fairs closed to the public. 1000-2000 dealers from France and beyond offering their unique pieces to antique dealers and interior designers. Bring your running shoes.the fairs are the size of fairgrounds and open at 8am. Only a few hours to see and buy as the dealers pack everything up at 1pm! I loved these seats from a movie theater in Milan, Italy! Paintings full of charm.

EXPLORING THE WORLD SOLO WITH CURIOUS MIND AND OPEN EYES. MY AMAZING ITALIAN PESTO CLASS IN CINQUE TERRE. Some of my best travel experiences are unplanned…. I had spent most of the day hiking the fishing villages in Cinque Terre, Italy and my legs begged for an afternoon break. Nessun Dorma, a wine bar perched high on a cliff in Manarola, was the perfect place to recover with the town’s best scenic view as a bonus! Their strawberries with sugar and lemon was a refreshing partner to my glass of local wine.
