Just another WordPress.com site. Spending Easter away from family hit me a little harder than I’d expected. I’ve certainly never been anywhere except at home on this particular Sunday, and I can vividly remember almost 23 Easters now – a holy and happy day! Nonetheless, Ashleigh and I trekked up to a tiny Anglican, English-speaking church on Sunday morning. It was a quiet and supremely happy weekend. Some peaceful pictures…. Just another WordPress.com site. Best of Barcelona: Gaudi’s Architecture. Among European cities, Barcelona feels teenaged. The main attractions in this Spanish city which are in my opinon, the Gaudi architecture and the beach are relatively new. The renowed architect only died in 1926, and the ritzy beach was man-made only 10 years ago, when Barcelona hosted the Olympics. But I like that. EXPLORING THE WORLD SOLO WITH CURIOUS MIND AND OPEN EYES. MY AMAZING ITALIAN PESTO CLASS IN CINQUE TERRE. Some of my best travel experiences are unplanned…. I had spent most of the day hiking the fishing villages in Cinque Terre, Italy and my legs begged for an afternoon break. Nessun Dorma, a wine bar perched high on a cliff in Manarola, was the perfect place to recover with the town’s best scenic view as a bonus! Their strawberries with sugar and lemon was a refreshing partner to my glass of local wine.
