June 6 was our two year anniversary of being home with Belachew. We celebrated by going to an Ethiopian restaurant and letting Belachew chose a special friend to join us. Afterwards, we came home and watched the video of the first time we met Belachew. He loved watching it and the next day asked to watch it again. June 6, 2008.

The weekend following the boys' birthday celebration, some friends invited us to use their lakehouse in Michigan. We were excited for the opportunity to get away as a family. Sunday, December 6, 2009. November 2009 Catch Up. We've had an action packed month and enjoyed a beautiful East TN fall. 1 Jelly and SJ on Thanksgiving. The girls looooove being together. 2 SJ enjoying a hike, she loves to be outside and walk in the woods. 3 B with his favorite current subject- BUGS! He's reading every bug book we can find and is also into the Magic Treehouse series. 4 All 4 Coffey kids playing in SJ's room. O is a super older cousin and is so good with the little ones.

Tuesday, August 18, 2009. After a fun, crazy summer, it's time to get back to school. B started back to school yesterday. He is a 1st grader! His teacher is fantastic and we are still so pleased with our choice to homeschool with our co-op. B is reading chapter books on his own and is very into Legos these days. Paul and Christy Schuette. September 19, 2008. The First Six Weeks Back in the States. 8212; Paul and Christy @ 3:32 pm. We had made it back safe and sound, but we still had a lot to do! The first order of business was to take Ribeye to PetSmart on Tuesday, July 29th for a bath! He needed one before we left and the long journey home the day before didn’t help. A short while later, he was soft and smelly good! That was good, because we had a 9 hour drive in front of us the next day to go back to Michigan.

Paul and Cindy Guymon Family. Friday, April 1, 2011. Hope springs eternal here in Chicagoland. Even after suffering an opening day loss to the lowly Pirates, 6-3, I am still looking forward to this season. Perhaps it is because for the first time in the last several years there are no expectations of grandeur. Baseball is back and life is good! As one lifelong Cub fan said on the bus leaving the ball park, "Being a Cubs fan teaches you how to handle losses in life." So true! The Natural and Woodie confer.
