Cuttingadventures: "Be gentle with the earth"
http://cuttingadventures.blogspot.com/2015/08/be-gentle-with-earth.html
Thursday, August 6, 2015. Be gentle with the earth". I guess installing a pool, and disturbing the earth, is a far cry from being gentle with the earth. Pipes are looking good in the spa! Water - poor CA! It's monsoon season for India now, and the water they get is vital to their crops. Did someone mention water? Tuesday I made an initial visit to the N. Ft. Myers Community pool. Nice place. They provide two lap lanes, a kiddie slid and plenty of shade. The workout was boring, but felt good!

Cuttingadventures: Another lamp constructed!
http://cuttingadventures.blogspot.com/2015/07/another-lamp-constructed.html
Wednesday, July 22, 2015. Given that I am not an electrician by trade, I have successfully made three lamps thus far, and I am pretty excited about the prospect of making more! Hopefully we will have a nice shelf in the garage for the future of making additional lamps. Monday was a nice rest day, as I really felt like sleeping in. Tuesday AM swim practice was written by me, even though there are workouts to follow, I like re-designing the workouts. 12 x 50 @ :55 (25 IM stroke/25 free). 4 x 50 back @ 1'.

Cuttingadventures: Chicken or the Egg?
http://cuttingadventures.blogspot.com/2015/07/chicken-or-egg.html
Saturday, July 18, 2015. Chicken or the Egg? I found fresh eggs in Bonita Springs, FL from a farm called Circle C, Happy Hens. Truly excited to be purchasing locally harvested eggs. That's the good news, and the bad news is we still do not have cable or internet at our house. As my friend Michelle commented when I told her the news, "What do you live in a 3rd. world country? 5 x 100 (25 kick/50swim/25 kick) snorkel. 1 x 200 @ 3:30. 1 x 100 @ 1:30 FAST. 1 x 200 @ 3:30. 1 x 150 @ 2:30. 1 x 200 @ 3:30.

Cuttingadventures: March 2015
http://cuttingadventures.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Monday, March 30, 2015. Had a lovely Sunday afternoon with Yigo as we traversed the rolling hills toward the driving range, and came upon our neighbor who was walking another neighbors dog! Don't let the friendly photo of their encounter fool you, Yigo was not a fan of George's playful style. George is only 1 year old, and does not have a tail, so according to my neighbor (name with held), hard to read his signals. Yigo, on the other hand, has a gorgeous tail and that's no tall tale! Monday 3/30 - AM.

Cuttingadventures: May 2013

Thursday, May 16, 2013. Fruit is the essence of living off the land, so having a supply of wonderful fruit makes a belly happy. I saw the pears sitting in the fruit bowl looking very sad, and brown. I also had a large collection of kiwi. I decided to look up a recipe. For compote. Very basic stuff, you cook the fruit, add a little juice like, wine, or citrus, cook, add a sweetener, cook, then cool before the fruit gets to mushy. It's a glorious desert with yogurt and pecans! Cuttingadventures: June 2014
http://cuttingadventures.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
Thursday, June 12, 2014. Hiking in the Catskills is a great way to spend the day with my nephew, Colton! In addition to the hiking in central NY, the views during a daily bike ride is unbeatable! I was coming up SawMill Rd. and I saw this behind me. I could not resist. Of course the best part about a summer night in NY are the sunsets! Links to this post. Watching Chopped is a ritual. I have learned SO much for the past 2 years from watching that show. Of course reading recipes helps too. Http:/ pearl...

Cuttingadventures: Swimming around town
http://cuttingadventures.blogspot.com/2015/07/swimming-around-town.html
Thursday, July 16, 2015. I've enjoyed mixing up my swim locations between Ft. Myers, Cape Coral, and Punta Gorda. Wednesday AM 7/15/15 practice from the FGC Master's team:. Sam writes one workout, and it's geared to the slower swimmers, so sometimes myself and a few others need to *add yardage* for the given interval. 5:00am Warm up begins. 8 x 50 @ 1' (drill/swim by 25) (optional fins drill/stroke which is what I did b/c I was very tired). 3 x 150 (or 200*) @ 3:30. 3 x 150 @ 2:45. 3 x 75 (or 100*) @ 1:30.

Cuttingadventures: February 2015
http://cuttingadventures.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Friday, February 27, 2015. It was October 12th, the skies were clear and the crisp air was perfect for a leisurely ride in central NY with a friends and riding mates, Jonathan and Pete. As I put pressure on my drops to give it the Le Tour field sprint a try, my left hand became suspended in mid air, gripping a detached handlebar. A surreal moment, of "OH CRAP! Needless to say, I never even reached the city limit sign! The most interesting fact and coincidence about the ambulance, was that one of the ENT ...

Cuttingadventures: May 2015
http://cuttingadventures.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Sunday, May 31, 2015. Saturday I drove to Coral Spring to compete in a swimming meet. The drive reminded me of traveling from San Antonio to Houston but not as far. Coral Springs is a very nice area west of Miami. The aquatic complex was extremely nice. It had two pools, one was LCM, the other was SCY and a diving well in between with tramps and a drive board area. I look forward to future rides with these ladies! Go Girl Cycling is a fabulous bike shop, so be sure to 'like' them on FB! Links to this post.
