Old Pueblo Ponderings: May 2008
http://cjc-oldpuebloponderings.blogspot.com/2008_05_01_archive.html
Thursday, May 22, 2008. I just started plotting a course across the country. As usual, it looks like the first night out is the only hotel night. I need someone to get a job in Albuquerque, mm'kay? Beyond that, tentative plans to hit Springfield, Louisville, Phili, then home in Maine. Had hoped to get up to Chicago on this journey, but it doesn't seem like that will happen, as my brother's family will also be in Maine at the beginning of July. Monday, May 19, 2008. Sunday, May 18, 2008. That's a quaint w...

Old Pueblo Ponderings: Say Cheese!
http://cjc-oldpuebloponderings.blogspot.com/2009/01/say-cheese.html
Saturday, January 24, 2009. Every month, my family tries to do "family dinner." It's about gathering together- but it's also about trying new recipes, and spending time creating in the kitchen. Each month we try a different theme: we've done everything from Chinese New Year to "things on sticks". This month's theme is wine and cheese, (my mother got the Tillamook Cheese Cookbook for Christmas) and we're also using it as a little celebration of my stepfather's 75th birthday. You want the recipe? 1/2 cup f...

Old Pueblo Ponderings: November 2008
http://cjc-oldpuebloponderings.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
Saturday, November 1, 2008. It's been a long time since August 27th, when last I posted. Much has transpired. Much of that is stressful, and I prefer not to rehash it. But speaking from the other side of those particular tranches I've traversed, things are looking better now. Like once the budget cuts come down (or keep coming down), but I have less of a sense of doom. That still may happen, but now I don't feel like it's going to break my neck. But I just wanted you all to know I'm alive.

Old Pueblo Ponderings: Tea Time
http://cjc-oldpuebloponderings.blogspot.com/2009/01/tea-time.html
Tuesday, January 6, 2009. While I did accomplish a thing or two thus far today, I still have quite a bit on the list of things that still need doing. However, I decided to abandon the office at around four this afternoon, swing by the library to pick up a book that I'm contemplating using for one of my classes, and then came home and made myself some tea. I'd feel a lot more elegant if I weren't in my sweats. Black tea, with these great little curls of mandarin peel in it. View my complete profile.

Old Pueblo Ponderings: It's Been a While...
http://cjc-oldpuebloponderings.blogspot.com/2009/06/its-been-while.html
Wednesday, June 17, 2009. It's Been a While. It's been a while. Since I've been here to update. And it's been a while. Since I've been inventive in the kitchen. It's been a while. Since I've felt like I could describe this space I'm in. And it's been a while. Since I've felt like I could confide in any one. But everything I can't remember as fucked up as it may seem. The consequences that I've rendered. I've stretched myself beyond my means. It's been a while. It's been a while. It's been a while. Things...

Old Pueblo Ponderings: August 2008
http://cjc-oldpuebloponderings.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html
Wednesday, August 27, 2008. There will be no posts for a while.the universe has other plans for me. Sunday, August 24, 2008. Here comes the sun. I've always been an early riser. It's hard for me to recall a time when I've ever consistently "slept in". Okay, maybe the summer I was ten, but my room that summer was under the eaves of an old camp, and I could spend hours watching the shadows of the leaves cavort on the ceiling. Saturday, August 23, 2008. Good for the soul, good for the soles. So I'm sitting ...

Old Pueblo Ponderings: June 2008
http://cjc-oldpuebloponderings.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html
Thursday, June 26, 2008. Seriously. It rained in my closet this afternoon. The day before I head to a conference at the crack of doom. Four days before I leave the Old Pueblo for over a month. It freakin' rained in my closet. But, I have to give a shout out to my leasing company; the rain ended for the day around five, and by six the roofer was here. He did a quick fix, and will be back in the morning to fix it for real. Okay, so now that the weather lesson is over with. You notice I qualify that- it's t...

Old Pueblo Ponderings: And Life Goes On...
http://cjc-oldpuebloponderings.blogspot.com/2009/01/and-life-goes-on.html
Wednesday, January 21, 2009. And Life Goes On. Yesterday was momentous. I hope to take some time today to really write down my thoughts more cogently. I actually still haven't really "taught" my theatre history of the Americas class- which meets from 9:30 to 10:45. In this time zone, that was pretty much exactly. I need to carve out some time to write about this more, to acknowledge the history, to consolidate my friends' experiences.but for now, I have my own hard work to do. View my complete profile.

Old Pueblo Ponderings: June 2011
http://cjc-oldpuebloponderings.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Wednesday, June 22, 2011. Baggage and blank pages. Yep I got me some. Particularly when it comes to writing. I fret and fret before anything ever gets on a page- and consequently- NOTHING gets on a page. I wrote my master's thesis in three weeks. I wrote my dissertation in about the same length of time. I don't recommend it. There were days that I wrote while releasing a sustained guttural moaning- every exhalation carried the sound of my fears and anxiety. I guess this blog functions in that manner....
