Wednesday, May 13, 2009. The Beginning of the End, Part II. For a while, it was questionable, but I made it through the end of the semester, completed all of my final papers, and am now ready to graduate! I can't believe that the GSE Commencement Ceremony is less than three days away - I was warned that these nine months would fly, but there's really no way to know how it feels til you've gone through it. More to come about graduation, and final thoughts. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Penn GSE Student Journals: The Day I Did No Schoolwork

http://www.penngsejamey.blogspot.com/2009/04/day-i-did-no-schoolwork.html

Monday, April 27, 2009. The Day I Did No Schoolwork. Personal care is so important to grad school survival, and as you know, final paper season is in full swing. So, this past Saturday, I decided (spontaneously) to have a fun day. It was fun to spend time with people outside of class and it was an honor to have a faculty member with us! Sunday marked a return to the real world of research and paper writing, but the fun day has rejuvenated me! Penn GSE Student Journals. The Day I Did No Schoolwork.

Penn GSE Student Journals: The Beginning of the End, Part I

http://www.penngsejamey.blogspot.com/2009/04/beginning-of-end-part-i.html

Friday, April 24, 2009. The Beginning of the End, Part I. In three weeks and one day, I will be graduating (hopefully! In jest, I actually asked Lois MacNamara if I could still walk in graduation if I didn't finish any of my final papers and took incompletes in my classes - for the record, she said no. ;). Next week, I will be fully in the throes of writing and editing these final papers, so stay tuned to see how beautifully I handle the pressure! Penn GSE Student Journals. View my complete profile.

Penn GSE Student Journals: "Stressed" is "Desserts" Spelled Backwards

http://www.penngsejamey.blogspot.com/2009/04/stressed-is-desserts-spelled-backwards.html

Tuesday, April 14, 2009. Stressed" is "Desserts" Spelled Backwards. I am feeling the pressures of the looming end of semester crunch. However, I do not think that stress is cute at all, so I am doing my best to avoid it. I strongly believe that positive thinking can get you through anything, and it is all the easier when you have good food - dessert, to be exact. However, Sarah is not always around, so I look to these places to satisfy my more than ample sweet tooth:. Penn GSE Student Journals. Universit...

Hi, I'm Sarah! I'm a current Higher Education Master's degree candidate at Penn's Graduate School of Education. I live in University City, and I love discovering new fun things to do in Philadelphia. The people at PennGSE are awesome! Friday, February 13, 2009. I took a day off from work yesterday to visit Lancaster, so now I'm here at GSE on a FRIDAY.followed by a night of work at Francoluigi's! PennGSE Student Journals: Spring is in the air!!!

http://penngsejournalcathy.blogspot.com/2009/04/spring-is-in-air.html

The life of a PennGSE Psychological Services student. Tuesday, April 7, 2009. Spring is in the air! It is so exciting! We made it through the winter! Spring is really in the air! And the trees are so beautiful. I love the trees. That's what I decided this year. They are my favorite. There are tons of trees with white flowers on them lining the streets of Philadelphia. Trees with pink flowers are a bit more rare. These are my absolute favorite. And you know where you can see tons of them?

So basically, I will be working with incredible leaders in child development to develop positive behavior incentives, and brilliant public health officials who hope to evaluate student experience, while my job will be to play with the students. I am getting paid to go to recess. It is the best job in the world! Who doesn’t want to play dodgeball and kickball and mash? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Welcome to my teaching portfolio. Friday, February 27, 2009. Strappy sandals or pointy slingbacks? 8221; Truly mind blowing. At about 12 noon, I scrambled to meet my volunteers at second lunch for recess support. Here, I headed up a game of kickball. Man, is it hard to play kickball without pinnies! I cannot keep track of which kid is on what team and there is a solid group of five or six kids who seem to always be in the kicking line-up and never in the outfield. And it all came full circle. http://pennevegse.blogspot.com/2009/04/bane-of-my-ga-existence.html

Wednesday, April 8, 2009. The Bane of my GA Existence. Like many a college tradition, Spring Fling is really just another excuse for undergrads (and underagers) to drink excessively. Akon and Guster will perform. Sororities will have dunk tanks. Fraternities will have jousting. And as if Penn paid off Mother Nature, the weather will be perfectly 70 degrees with a light spring breeze. It’s been a long semester and you deserve a chance to let loose! Have food in your stomach and love in your heart,.
