The musings, and less known side of the Witty Badger. July 24, 2012. Passing through the tunnel. I assume it would only be fair to deliver a sequel to my previous exercise in vague writing, so here goes I am so incredibly fortunate for my family and friends helping me through this tough time. I have had amazing support from everyone, to whom I am grateful. Not the right place? Not the right situation? These are all valid questions that could potentially hold the answer. I apologize for the somber tone&#4...

The musings, and less known side of the Witty Badger. July 26, 2012. Still in the eye of the storm. I am particularly sensitive to pouring my heart into something, getting the results I desire, and then having it stripped away. I understand this is my weakness. I understand that most can let failure roll off their backs. It takes me longer. But the reality is that I am wrong. I realize I’m a child reaching for a balloon that is floating away. I’m Tom Hanks trying to swim after his volleyball, alm...My pr...

I Make Them Laugh | Pondering Badger

https://ponderingbadger.wordpress.com/2012/08/01/i-make-them-laugh

The musings, and less known side of the Witty Badger. August 1, 2012. I Make Them Laugh. I charm the waitress and make some witty jokes. My friends tell me she has a crush on me, and that I should ask her out. Sure, she thinks I’m funny, and that she would like to see me again, but I’m not thinking of her. Even as I talk to her, I just.don’t.see. her. I see someone else. You can create your happy ending. But then it is gone. Like trying to remember a dream that doesn’t want to be remembered, it fades awa...

March | 2015 | Pondering Badger

https://ponderingbadger.wordpress.com/2015/03

The musings, and less known side of the Witty Badger. March 12, 2015. It feels like a black tar creeping across the top of my brain and into my eye sockets. My neck is tense and breath is short. My eyelids feel like sandpaper and I can barely keep them open. But I’m not tired. Not even a little bit. Sound like the flu, you’re thinking. Nope, I’m perfectly healthy. This is it, this is my reality. The poison is in my brain, and it’s there to stay for the remainder to this day. What’s happening, and how my ...

pondering a thought...

Saturday, June 19, 2010. Rumbling reverberates in the distance, calling me to look outside. A dark spot on the horizon promises to quench the hot day. Gradually the birds stop singing while the trees turn into silhouettes. Cool winds gush down from the expanse overhead. A torrent of river rapid clouds loom omnimous overhead- ebbing, flowing, rushing. Pattering little raindrops start to sing, making way for a resounding encore. Tuesday, May 4, 2010. Pondering Beyond the Parallelogram with Picasso

Pondering Beyond the Parallelogram with Picasso. Wednesday, September 15, 2010. Even though music is typically taught my specialists in primary schools, I think it’s important to incorporate music into the everyday experiences of children. Teachers put a lot of thought into the storybooks they read to their class but my experience is that very little effort is put into exposing students to music. Many early education classrooms have a limited collection of music that was commercially made for childre...
