Slab City Pt. 1. The first time I heard about the infamous Slab City was in a book I bought a few years back called Self-Made Worlds. Every person I met offered me shelter from the sun, water, and great conversation. Points of interest and people to meet were continually suggested by the Slabbers as I tried to shoot as many photos as I could in my short time there. Way Cool. Nicely done! First and foremost, is there a place more “Bear”esque than this?

The suitcases are packed and the TimTams procured. We are almost ready to leave Australia behind, to return to reality. I can't believe it's almost been an entire year since i've blogged! Life has been going by at record pace (most of the time, that is). unfortunately, i won't be returning from my insanely long blogging hiatus, but you that doesn't mean we can't still be friends. :). As for life now, i am happier than i've ever been. life is also more chaotic than ever, but i've found that chaos isn't nearly as scary when you're happy. Tuesday, September 25, 2012. Our return trip to Zambia was always meant to be a quick one and I thought we did well to get back to Lusaka in around 3.5 days, although our days were very long! From Diani Beach we headed south back into Tanzania, a very quick border and the Tanzanian customs officials were great giving us a cheaper visa for transit ($30pp for 7 days). Day one of the drive was pretty easy. A couple of issues with police but we felt $6 for the day was ok. Day three went perfectly. We lef...
