Honesty is the best policy…… | psue30

Just another WordPress.com site. Honesty is the best policy……. Yes the people of Britain are a lot more dishonest than they were 10 years ago, yes there is a reason for concern. What is your point? Researchers involved in a study conducted at the Essex centre for the study of integrity have said that Britain are a lot more likely to be dishonest now than they were a decade ago. Could this be down to the younger generation in the population of Britain? So after reading about how ruined Britain will become...

If you have a child who is in the top third in terms of IQ when aged 5 and 10, then I am sorry to say that there is a high chance your child will become a drug abuser. Now back to the results…. Anthony's Research Methods Blog. Writing a Method Section. On November 26, 2011. As such, there are two important principles to consider whilst writing; clarity and parsimony. The methodology needs to be clear so that there can be no misunderstanding of terms, and therefore no misunderstanding of measures and techniques. It needs to be parsimonious – i.e. it only includes relevant details – because there are often space restrictions in writing a scientific paper. A brief comment about the Wiki →. Get eve...

https://antbc.wordpress.com/2011/09/30/methods-of-knowing

Anthony's Research Methods Blog. On September 30, 2011. How do we come to believe something to be true? This is a question anybody can afford to ask themselves, but it becomes especially important when tasked with finding out answers to specific questions in contribution to common knowledge, as a scientist does. An individual using the method of tenacity. Somebody who “just feels that it is right” is employing their intuition. This is appealing to us because it saves us a lifetime of research into an unf...

Although not something specified for the blogs, It’s great practice to include the methods of a paper being examined, and something that will be expected of you in your essays and dissertation over the coming years. This demonstrates that you have understood how the results were derived and gives you more detail to critique. I suggest you check out this blog. One more blog to go! Larr; Blogs I Liked.

Anthony's Research Methods Blog. From textbooks to scientific papers…. On October 16, 2011. For many of you, textbooks are the more familiar source of information when writing essays or reports. Anthony's Research Methods Blog. Week 2 Blog Posts. On October 9, 2011. A couple of my favourite blog posts from last week were Adam’s. Adam questioned the validity of one of Sigmund Freud’s most famous cases, the “wolf man”, which as he notes, is typical of studies that form the basis of Freud’s psychoanalytic concepts. Both posts contain key elements of successful argumentation, as they:. Make clear the concept being discussed by using precise definitions which offer little room for misunderstanding.
