Tuesday, August 11, 2015. Ah, much better. Woke to sunshine and blue skies after a chilly, but at least no longer rainy, night. Ok, then. I’d like to know what he puts on his tax forms under “occupation”. Bear scarer? I wonder what his insurance agent tells the actuaries and then I wonder how they calculate their rates for his job. Fascinating. Anyway, it’s very nice to be back to sunny and beautiful after yesterday’s rain and cold. Maybe dog handler or animal control. Interesting job, for sure.

Tuesday, July 28, 2015. We woke, prepped, and hit the trail to Avalanche Lake, 4 miles roundtrip and elevation gain of about 500 ft. After some rain during the night, the day started out overcast and even spit on us a little as we hiked. Very beautiful, scenic hike. Climbing up along the river with craggy escarpments and peaks in the distance and deep, lovely woods around us. Lunch and a rest after that. Gonna sleep well tonight. Friday, August 07, 2015. We had a nice rain shower last night. It was pleasant to hear it splatting. On the hard roof over the middle of the tent trailer and thumping. Off for now to do… something.
