Stitch Markers | Ramble on Rosemary

https://rambleonrosemary.wordpress.com/2012/01/01/stitch-markers

Ramblings of a knitter, crafter, and full-time grad student. Time ago I purchased the supplies to make beaded stitch markers, but I finally sat down to make some last night. The beads (collected from random places over the years) were attached to the looped half of a toggle clasp, so that they are ‘snag-free.’. I’m gifting these to a fellow knitter, but I will definitely be making more in the future! Responses to “Stitch Markers”. Feed for this Entry. 2012 January 16 at 7:40 am. 2012 January 16 at 7:05 pm.

Because I really know how to shear a goat… | Ramble on Rosemary

Ramblings of a knitter, crafter, and full-time grad student. Newest Additions to the Farm Family. Because I really know how to shear a goat…. After bringing home our latest additions to the farm family. I set out to shear them (or finish shearing in Hamlet’s case). I wasn’t planning to do this until late fall, but the previous owner assured me that they needed to be de-fleeced as soon as possible. Yikes! Here are some pre-shearing photos:. Here’s Ivan post-shearing:. Feed for this Entry. You never cease ...

I’m back! Sort of. | Ramble on Rosemary

https://rambleonrosemary.wordpress.com/2011/02/06/im-back-sort-of

Ramblings of a knitter, crafter, and full-time grad student. Hello, dear readers! Huge apologies for my long absence – life has been going at break-neck speed, and I’m afraid that pace will continue for the next year or two. I returned from Norway in early January and am back at grad school in the States. I should graduate by May 2012, so this is the home stretch! One of the few projects I managed to finish while in Norway (though I started tons), was the Simple Yet Effective. Sort of.”. I’ve misse...

Allergic to Wool: Exciting news!

http://allergictowool.blogspot.com/2012/04/exciting-news.html

Monday, 16 April 2012. So yes, as usual, I have to apologise for my absence! Hopefully you'll think the wait was worth it however, because I have such. Since January my friend Lydia and I have been working on something really special. It's a new quarterly knitting publication called pom pom! Here's a draft of our first-ever cover:. It's a quite small-scale, homegrown little mag at the moment, but it's full of lovely, hand-picked goodies that we hope knitters will love! And you can follow us on twitter.

knits & bobs: May 2010

http://knitsnbobs.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html

Sunday, May 2, 2010. I have some catching up to do. Oh goodness. It’s been ages. I’m going to be horrible at this when I’m ACTUALLY busy. I really think that I keep waiting on things to blog about so I can make it into one jumbo entry, when really I should be doing it in smaller chunks so it’s not so tedious to read. I’ll work on that, I promise. So this is my lovely quilt:. You can’t really see the fabric so I’m going to throw in another of my close up shots:. See, look. They’re crazy. Links to this post.

knits & bobs: April 2010

http://knitsnbobs.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html

Tuesday, April 6, 2010. And it is now back from the quilter’s. Like I said in my last post, I get too excited about starting things, so I forget to take pictures during the process, but I’m working on it! It was tiring, but really fun. Now, I do have SOME pictures to share with you guys. This Friday, after I got home from a gruelling week at work, I had an entire MASS of goodies awaiting me! I ordered some yarn from Yahaira from Bitter Purl and it arrived a mere 2 days later! It’s going to be aweso...

knits & bobs: Recyclable Coffee Sleeves

http://knitsnbobs.blogspot.com/2013/01/recyclable-coffee-sleeves_20.html

Sunday, January 20, 2013. It has been entirely too long since I have posted here, but I started university and found myself with very little time during the semester to craft. I was. Lovingly encouraged me to get my blog up and going, because I still craft quite a lot during breaks from school. I have made it my New Years Resolution to post somewhat more regularly. So, these next few posts (hopefully! 1 Cardboard coffee sleeve. A clean paper coffee cup from desired coffee shop. How to do it:. 2) I used t...

knits & bobs: March 2010

http://knitsnbobs.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html

Wednesday, March 24, 2010. Something to think about. Ok, ok. I know I haven’t blogged in a while, but my real excuse is that I like to have pictures with each of my entries because otherwise it’s just incredibly boring. The only problem with this is that I get too excited about what I’m doing to take a minute to snap some photos. I’m going to have to work on that. When I read it, I was nearly brought to tears! Or based on the opinions of anyone! Knitting receives a fair amount of slack from the general p...

Monday, 25 October 2010. It's been a while (again, I know! But great news - I have finally written up the pattern for the Naomi Scarf. After lots of very flattering requests for it on Ravlery. Since I added it to the Ravelry database last night, it's already in 18 queues - how lovely! I am really looking forward to seeing all the different versions everyone makes in different colours, yarns, etc. You can also find the pattern in my Etsy shop. Here are the links:. Allergic to Wool: February 2012

http://allergictowool.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html

Monday, 27 February 2012. A little vintage knitting. One of my favourite things when teaching a knitting class is to talk about the cultural history of knitting a little bit. It's fun to think about how us knitters have centuries of knitting background to draw from and to feel like we're carrying on a lovely, important tradition. Over the past couple of weeks I have had some lovely knitting history surprises! Thanks, Jo, for sending this! Also in the post last week was a parcel from Australia! Is a coast...

Ramble On Rockstar | daily ramblings

Well Hello There Winter. Asymp; Leave a comment. Once upon a time. This autumn was incredibly mild and long lasting. I remember walking around on November 30th and thinking, “. Wow, I still don’t even need a heavy coat yet.”. Well, December apparently wanted everybody to know of its arrival because it was cold. Also, it snowed. It was actually pretty exciting. I immediately broke out the Christmas tunes and strolled into Starbucks for a Christmas-themed beverage. My little (fake) Christmas tree! Watching...
