The Ravings of An English Nut

The Ravings of An English Nut. Friday, January 1, 2010. So I was digging through my old stuff and I found this practice essay that I really liked. I was supposed to talk about a character that is pulled in opposing directions by conflicting forces in their life, and explain how this contributes to the meaning of the work. I chose Crime and Punishment's Raskolnikov. Tuesday, October 20, 2009. This is the first in a series about themes in the Odyssey. Enjoy! Sunday, October 18, 2009. Wisdom Fades With Age.

The Ravings of An English Nut: The Prominence of Characters in Greek Drama

http://ravingsofanenglishnut.blogspot.com/2009/10/prominence-of-characters-in-greek-drama.html

The Ravings of An English Nut. Sunday, October 18, 2009. The Prominence of Characters in Greek Drama. Greek tragedy is definitely my favorite area to study because of the structure of the plays. The plays were all based on myths that the audience grew up with, so the plot was already known and couln't be changed. The authors have no opportunity to change the plot, to make a new twist to surprise the audience. How then can you hold someone's attention with no surprises from the story? Wisdom Fades With Age.

It’s just me. The #Chattanooga Gunman – NOT a “Typical American Kid” – a blog post. July 17, 2015. Another terrible shooting occurred yesterday. A 24 year old man riddled a military recruiting station with bullets and then killed four marines and wounded many others at a Chattanooga, Tennessee naval base. Then, in the second period, the Spits apparently woke up. I'm not sure what Coach Bob...
