The Webb of Life. Sunday, May 25, 2014. Balloon Fest and Dog Bowl. It was a beautiful day for two great events! Balloons Over Bavaria is Frankenmuth's balloon festival! It was pretty breezy, though, so only a few of the balloons actually took off. The rest were shown during the "glow" at night. Dog Bowl was super fun for the girls to watch! Lions: We saw a female lion, but forgot to take her picture! Tigers: This is what Benji thinks he looks like. Bears: We saw some in a fountain. And one in the water! During our first visit to Zehnder's Snowfest back in 2013, our camera battery died right before we made it to the ice sculptures. That year there was a very impressive ship made of ice, complete with chains for mooring the ship. This restaurant-grade kitchen was even more amazing because of all the details! The Webb of Life. Monday, December 22, 2014. Who knew Santa had a house right here in Michigan? Had I known this earlier, I would have visited a little more often to plead my case. I'm still disappointed that he hasn't brought the one thing I've asked for for the past 4 Christmases we've spent in Michigan: SUN. No snow. :-(. It was soooo cold the day we visited Santa's House, the girls actually waited in the car for most of the time while we waited in line to get in. This guy just got his braces off.

I'm so glad we stopped. The African Penguins were so cute! Watching them waddle down to the water and jump in was adorable. Enjoy the stop with us. I believe I can fly! A young penguin.
