http://laurasrenovationadventure.blogspot.com/2011/08/room-update.html
We also made her a doll house for her American Girl dolls with an IKEA Pax shelving unit:. I love American Girl accessories as much as the next mom, but my little darling is not terribly careful about her toys, so I don't want to always spend the kind of money AG requires. So we improvise. :). Speaking of "improvise" you can see a "during" photo of the jewelry boxs' transformations. October 16, 2012 at 11:16 AM. I have a quick question about your blog, do you think you could e-mail me? Out of the Loop.

Laura's Renovation Adventure: Chalk Paint Makeover
http://laurasrenovationadventure.blogspot.com/2013/01/chalk-paint-makeover.html
I thought about finding some gripping, stain-blocking primer, but then I heard about chalk paint. We don't have a place in town that sells Annie Sloan Chalk Paint, and I didn't feel like driving to Little Rock to buy paint that is over $30 a quart, so I talked to my sister in law, who sells restyled furniture in her shop, Dog and Butterfly in Portland, TN. She uses chalk paint, but makes her own with plaster of paris and latex paint. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Concrete Coffee Table DIY.

Always Dance with Butterflies. The ramblings and ponderings of a teacher, former coach, sister, daughter and friend. Monday, November 24, 2014. As I sit here watching Dancing with the Stars after listening to the Ferguson verdict, the following quote keeps playing in my head. Hate begets hate; violence begets violence; toughness begets a greater toughness. We must meet the forces of hate with the power of love.". Dr Martin Luther King, Jr 1958. There's a reason why Gandhi embraced non-violent protest.

Always Dance with Butterflies. The ramblings and ponderings of a teacher, former coach, sister, daughter and friend. Thursday, August 26, 2010. Open house.two weeks too late. I'm dreading tomorrow. Tomorrow is our open house at work; it's supposed to be a "meet the teacher" kind of thing but because it's two weeks after school starts, the parents want to treat it as a parent teacher conference. That's a problem. Links to this post. Wednesday, August 25, 2010. Tell the world how you feel - they need to se...

Always Dance with Butterflies. The ramblings and ponderings of a teacher, former coach, sister, daughter and friend. Saturday, February 19, 2011. Would somebody tell me why. Would somebody tell me why everyone seems to think they can do my job- especially when these people are not qualified to do my job? In this era of education reform, everyone seems to have a solution to America's education ills and recently the trend has been blame the teacher. In actuality, teachers turn themselves inside out trying ...

Always Dance with Butterflies. The ramblings and ponderings of a teacher, former coach, sister, daughter and friend. Thursday, June 30, 2011. So I'm teaching summer school.and nearly all of the summer school instruction is through a computer program called APEX. The students log on to their individual courses &everything is on the computer. They are supposed to read the material and then complete computer scored quizzes and tests. When I caught one just randomly guessing her way through Algebra I, I aske...

Always Dance with Butterflies. The ramblings and ponderings of a teacher, former coach, sister, daughter and friend. Saturday, July 31, 2010. Snarky and sarcastic are two of my best events; closely followed by resentment and rage- unhealthy to be sure. There's a reason I habitually need a massage. Her new philosophy has seemed to mellow her out and I could use that. I'm going to have to work on this. Too bad that song is so dang catchy but hey, laughing is positive. Right? I may be in some trouble here.
