Adventures in Lebanon (and Romania, and Waco…). Kids Alive in Lebanon. The most wonderful parts of today came without any effort on my part at all. I think it probably always happens that way. When I stop working so hard to do things my way and just give up my will for God’s will, everything turns out infinitely better than I could have hoped. Thanks be to God for these simple, wonderful blessings. One Response to “Unexpected Blessings”. June 1, 2011 at 4:11 pm. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Yesterday (Thu...

Caleb running the loop at Masada (it’s bigger than an aircraft carrier). Part of our purpose here is to see holy sites and learn facts about them. It’s more meaningful to be in a small group and allow time for personal reflection at each location. Because we travel around in vehicles, not on a bus, we get to make the most of our stops. Reflecting by the shore
Reflecting by the shore. Friday, 25 December 2015. A clarion call to the world at Christmas. Here is the text of the homily, which Pope Francis made in St. Peter's Basilica on Christmas Eve:. Tonight 'a great light' shines forth (Is 9:1); the light of Jesus' birth shines all about us. How true and timely are the words of the prophet Isaiah which we have just heard: 'You have brought abundant joy and great rejoicing' (9:2)! What a wonderful sermon that speaks to our consciences! Reflections of a Christian | A Christian response to the Bible
Reflections of a Christian. A Christian response to the Bible. On 2 Samuel 13-15. May 16, 2014. Because David had so many wives, the relationship between all these people is confusing. It seems that Absalom and Amnon are half brothers, which would mean that Tamar is the half sister of Amnon. Just as Jacob did nothing on behalf of his raped daughter, Dinah. Joab, the son of Zeruiah who killed Abner. Judge not, that you be not judged. These are my thoughts on 2 Samuel 13-15. Posted in The Old Testament.
