A Christian response to the Bible
On 2 Samuel 8-12 | Reflections of a Christian
https://reflectingchristian.wordpress.com/2014/04/18/on-2-samuel-8-12
Reflections of a Christian. A Christian response to the Bible. On 2 Samuel 8-12. April 18, 2014. King David had many wars and was victorious. The Lord blessed him in all he did. Later on, David asked for any survivors of Saul’s house. Meribbaal, the son of Jonathan, was still alive. So David sent for Meribbaal and gave all of Saul’s land to Meribbaal and commanded that Meribbaal always ate at his table. Meribbaal stayed in Jerusalem with David and ate with him. These are my thoughts on 2 Samuel 8-12.

Reflections of a Christian. A Christian response to the Bible. On 2 Samuel 13-15. May 16, 2014. Because David had so many wives, the relationship between all these people is confusing. It seems that Absalom and Amnon are half brothers, which would mean that Tamar is the half sister of Amnon. Just as Jacob did nothing on behalf of his raped daughter, Dinah. Joab, the son of Zeruiah who killed Abner. Judge not, that you be not judged. These are my thoughts on 2 Samuel 13-15. Posted in The Old Testament.

On Genesis 32-34 | Reflections of a Christian

Reflections of a Christian. A Christian response to the Bible. May 4, 2013. I find it interesting that even though Esau accepted Jacob back with open arms, Jacob was still reluctant to follow him. Also, the wrestling with God scene is kind of hard to understand. Did Jacob physically wrestle with God or spiritually? These are my thoughts on Genesis 32-34. Reflections of a Christian. A Christian response to the Bible. On 2 Samuel 1-3. April 5, 2014. This chapter shows the Old Testament practice of “an eye for an eye” and also reinforces David’s love for Jonathan. Although the Amalekite didn’t actually kill Saul, he took credit for it and was killed. I find it interesting that David mourns Saul’s death, even though Saul constantly tried to have him killed. However, the mourning for Jonathan is not a surprise. The majority of protagonists from the Old Testam...

Reflecting by the shore
Reflecting by the shore. Friday, 25 December 2015. A clarion call to the world at Christmas. Here is the text of the homily, which Pope Francis made in St. Peter's Basilica on Christmas Eve:. Tonight 'a great light' shines forth (Is 9:1); the light of Jesus' birth shines all about us. How true and timely are the words of the prophet Isaiah which we have just heard: 'You have brought abundant joy and great rejoicing' (9:2)! What a wonderful sermon that speaks to our consciences! Adventures in Lebanon (and Romania, and Waco...) | James 1:27
Adventures in Lebanon (and Romania, and Waco…). Kids Alive in Lebanon. Arrival and Sightseeing in Byblos. Tiffany and I are sharing an apartment with Becky, who is in for Brent’s wedding. Thanks be to God, I slept straight through the night, which was much needed rest for the day of sightseeing ahead. We journeyed on to Byblos, the oldest continuously inhabited city in the world, where we toured Phoenician ruins, shopped, swam in the Mediterranean Sea, and ate a phenomenal Lebanese dinner overlooking the...

Using custom attributes and binding to hook into another object's property change events. But I stopped using it for various reasons. I am not going to talk about that today but something else which is (in some respects) much cooler. [Check out this article. For more info on PostSharp and INPC.].
