Reflections and Footprints
Thursday, October 14, 2010. That Dreaded Word: Cancer. My heart is weighing very heavy for yet another friend (she's a young mother) who is preparing for the greatest fight of her life. The fight for Amy started several weeks ago and is becoming even greater with each day.surgery, future treatments, and so many unanswered questions. Breast cancer is her fight. So while this post is for me to reflect on how cancer has claimed and threatens so many people that I care about, it is also to give a glimpse of ...

How High Is Up?
Wednesday, September 24, 2014. I started the blog initially as an open site for anyone to write and share memories about Emily, but it ended up being mostly me writing. And for a few years- it helped. But then- I ran out of things to say. Or at least anything new to say. The story never really changes- and there are only so many times you can say "I miss Emily". How high is up? It still applies. I'm leaving Emily's story right where it is. And I've started my new story here. Sunday, September 8, 2013.

My Reflections and more...
My Reflections and more. Thought Process Made Public. Friday, March 9, 2012. The Feast of Roses. I recently finished Indu Sundaresan’s “The Feast of Roses” and I thought the book made a really good read. It is not a literary masterpiece by any benchmark, but Sundaresan has done extensive research on Jahangir and Nur Jahan and it shows. I could not have come up with a worthier subject! Posted by Restive Mind. Links to this post. Sunday, February 12, 2012. But isn't happiness our natural state? A small voi...
