October 2014 - Reflections and Nature

http://reflectionsandnature.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html

Soft Layers of Blue. The sky, the mountains and the water. Merge together to give a feeling of peace and inner quiet. A little rowing boat keeping its reflection company. And bringing in tones of aqua. Take on a delicate shade of violet. Three little moorhens glide by. On the smooth surface of the water. Creates gently undulating ripples. Sailing boats sail back and forth with gracefulness. And reflections reach out to me. And pull me into the scene. Whose summit is covered in snow the whole year round.

Captivating - Reflections and Nature

http://reflectionsandnature.blogspot.com/2015/07/captivating.html

Do you remember when you were a child and something captivated. Your attention and you felt totally spellbound? Last weekend, sitting on my balcony facing my flowers,. I was completely charmed by this colourful image. Seen through the glass from which I was drinking. I went inside to get my camera. Peeked through the glass at my garden herbs! This one is lemon verbena. The pink begonia clamoured for my attention. Then I had the idea of picking up a small fluted glass dish. First the yellow marigolds.

June 2015 - Reflections and Nature

http://reflectionsandnature.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html

Yellow is the best colour to create enthusiasm for life! Look at those pretty cut-out leaves. I had to show you Charlotte's. Pot of yellow marigolds. They bring me joy every time I look at them! Pick one and put it in a very pretty vase. This one was given to me by a good friend for my birthday! If you like to crochet,. Crochet a yellow doily and give it as a present. Isn't the heart pendant pretty? Such a thoughtful gift. Be the sunshine in someone's cloud. And bring them a smile today! First of all,.

April 2015 - Reflections and Nature

http://reflectionsandnature.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html

We just need to pause. And shuffle our priorities a little. Take time to smell the flowers. Create harmonious corners in our home. That allow us to enjoy shape and colour. To gather treasures from nature. And create a still life. Try it with spring flowers too. It's amazing what I found in my town environment! The pollen from the catkins went just everywhere as you can see on the wooden surface! We can create feelings of peace and beauty in our own homes. Thank you to all those who follow my blog entries.

December 2014 - Reflections and Nature

http://reflectionsandnature.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html

Where are you going? In the city, high above the houses,. There seemed to be flutterings and whisperings. Was it birds flying above? They constantly changed colour. Against an inky black sky. They all seemed to be moving forward in the same direction. They were so beautiful, like something from another world. Where are you going? Said an imposing figure with a kindly voice. Is it far from here? About five days, as the crow flies", he replied. I asked once again. Why, we're going to Christmas of course!

http://myjourneytomindfulness.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html

My Journey To Mindfulness. Tuesday, March 31, 2015. Last Day of March. On this last day of March. And my old iron skillets. Were put in the fire. With children numbering 5. And I was working in family business. The dear lady who helped me (Miss Willie). Said this needed to be done to my skillets. And took them home with her. I could not have made it without her. Apple Blossom Dreams: 4:41 Challenged

http://www.appleblossomdreams.com/2013/02/441-challenged.html

Monday, February 25, 2013. Remember that challenge I threw out there from this post. I challenged anyone to beat my time making a rose. Lickity-split an adorable and talented young lady took me up on the challenge. Here is a picture of the rather bedraggled-looking rose from my best time. I closed up the center hole after I had stopped timing myself so it would look better for the picture. Claire (The Cogaroo) ". I'm not sure anyone can beat her time! A package full of surprises will be. Ok Astri, I have...

Chasing planes | Lady Fi

https://ladyfi.wordpress.com/2015/08/06/chasing-planes

My daughter and I were enjoying a beautiful sunset together a few days ago —. And she was practising using my ‘big’ camera. When we suddenly saw a floating line of geese. They seemed to be chasing an airplane. The geese flew away over the trees. And the plane flew right on up to infinity. Photos by my talented daughter; editing by me = Teamwork! For more great shots, please visit: Skywatch. This entry was posted on August 6, 2015 by ladyfi. It was filed under Skywatch. And was tagged with geese. I enjoy ...

Launch Out and Let Down. October 25, 2007 by danielpulliam. Jesus Christ told Peter to launch out and let down. A two part command that would result in an abundant reward of fish. Launch out and let down a command not just applicable to Peter, but to every child of God today; for immediately after Jesus Christ worked the miracle of the great draught of fish He turned to Peter and said,. From henceforth thou shalt catch men. To Christ’s two-fold command Peter had one excuse,. There is not a resource of mo...

How High Is Up?

Wednesday, September 24, 2014. I started the blog initially as an open site for anyone to write and share memories about Emily, but it ended up being mostly me writing. And for a few years- it helped. But then- I ran out of things to say. Or at least anything new to say. The story never really changes- and there are only so many times you can say "I miss Emily". How high is up? It still applies. I'm leaving Emily's story right where it is. And I've started my new story here. Sunday, September 8, 2013.

My Reflections and more. Thought Process Made Public. Friday, March 9, 2012. The Feast of Roses. I recently finished Indu Sundaresan’s “The Feast of Roses” and I thought the book made a really good read. It is not a literary masterpiece by any benchmark, but Sundaresan has done extensive research on Jahangir and Nur Jahan and it shows. I could not have come up with a worthier subject! Spiritual Reflections

A little help along the way from Fr. Jos Tharakan. Saturday, November 21, 2009. We live in a world where there is lots of noise made talking about separation of church and state. All those discussions will come to an end when we talk about Jesus as the King, which is a political concept. There is absolutely no separation of church and state in this story of the Kingship of Christ. Is there? Who is a king? The inability to find the truth comes from our inability to sense the whisper of the Holy Spirit wit...
