Relatively Painless

Friday, June 12, 2009. This album may just be in contention for album of the year. It's everything a great debut album should be. Flawlessly produced, fresh, exciting and definitely full of great beats that will no doubt make driving with the sunroof open a lot more enjoyable. Currently loving track 3- Moth's Wings. The opening keyboards and driving beat just make me want to roll down the windows and celebrate being alive. Monday, June 8, 2009. Wednesday, May 20, 2009. Wednesday, May 13, 2009. To make me...

Relatively Painless: Making it count

http://relativelypainless.blogspot.com/2009/04/making-it-count.html

Wednesday, April 22, 2009. The weather has finally warmed up and brought about one of my favorite summer activities- patio drinking! I think we all appreciated each other a little bit more that night. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). This is a place for me to share the things I like. I hope you like it too. Relatively Painless: Adventures in unemployment

http://relativelypainless.blogspot.com/2009/05/adventures-in-unemployment.html

Monday, May 11, 2009. Tomorrow will mark 5 months of unemployment for me.  Just typing that made me feel a little sick to my stomach.  I miss work, I miss coworkers, I miss being productive and contributing to something- even if that something seems completely ridiculous at the time (direct mail- I'm talking to you! 160;On the other hand, I've really enjoyed these last few months.  I've had time to look at my life and the things in it and realize that there was so much I wasn't doing before! 160;I think ...

Relatively Painless: Spring blossoms

http://relativelypainless.blogspot.com/2009/05/spring-blossoms.html

Wednesday, May 20, 2009. I figured I'd better get my Spring post in before Memorial Day weekend is here, and everyone is officially in Summer mode. A few weeks ago I was out in the yard taking pictures, and was reminded of how awesomely great it is to live where I do.  Tree after tree of apple blossoms, expansive stretches of green grass, flowers of every variety- and yes, even the dandelions look great! Relatively Painless: An open letter to the Biggest Loser

http://relativelypainless.blogspot.com/2009/05/open-letter-to-biggest-loser.html

Wednesday, May 13, 2009. An open letter to the Biggest Loser. Dear Biggest Loser, . I love you, I really do.  You're guaranteed. To make me cry at least once a week, and you inspire people to change their lives in the most positive of ways.  HOWEVER, what is the deal with last night's finale? Helen weighing in at 117 pounds shocked me! 160;She's a 48 year old woman! 160;That cannot be healthy for anyone! I know that the BL's. Whole philosophy is about teaching a healthy lifestyle of diet and exercise.

Normal is Relative-Autism & Epilepsy Mom | On our own journeys, sharing the ride

Normal is Relative-Autism and Epilepsy Mom. On our own journeys, sharing the ride. Here’s the other thing…do we give jackass parents who are going to raise selfish thoughtless greedy kids a test before they can have babies? Do we have a prenatal test for “weeding out” thoughtless, disrespectful, greedy, selfish, cussing, bigoted, self-absorbed “normal” human beings? Because the ones you are “getting rid of” are the ones who bring the innocent light into the darkness that typical humans create. And you ca...

Tuesday, June 2, 2015. The move down to Nashville happened last weekend, and although we still have a bit more adjusting to do, we've started to settle in quite nicely to our new home in Belle Meade. The move itself happened rather quickly and I am beyond grateful for my parents for helping us load up our things and drive a U-Haul from Michigan to Tennessee. Now that we're more than 500 miles from home, we figured it was time to make some decisions that we knew would be difficult. Now for the other news:.

relativelyordinary | Just another look at the adventures of a part-time homemaker

Just another look at the adventures of a part-time homemaker. March 20, 2014. We purchased some 1″ galvanized piping from the orange store, along with 8 flanges and 4 T-fittings. We decided we would use 36″ pipe for the width runs (stock size) and then use 1 10″ piece and 1 6″ piece for each leg (connected with the T-fitting). We assembled the two legs and spray-painted them. I stained them with Minwax Dark Walnut. In my pajamas. March 10, 2014. In the six months (! Step 1: Remove shower doors. During ou...

Relatively Prime

Wednesday, June 2, 2010. A unique take on the BP disaster. Coutland Milloy has an interesting take. On our inability to stop the oil leak in the gulf.  He argues that in our desire to hold someone accountable for this disaster we are failing to hold our selves accountable, that our expecations of what is possible are completely out of sync with reality, and that our inability to fix the leak is also, partially, caused by our own misplaced priorities: . Outrage at anybody other than ourselves, of course.
