Wednesday, January 1, 2014. UGLYyou ain't got no alibi! They say you don't know how much you're going to miss someone (or in this case something) until they're gone. This definitely does not apply to our kitchen floor for the past 4 years. A twist on that thought.I didn't realize how ugly it was until it was gone. I was blind to it.or maybe I just chose to look the other way.or not look at it at all! Here are a few before. Notice the repaired gaping crevice in the upper left corner. I really was. I prepp...

Little Brick Home: Chalkboard Paint + Countertops
http://www.little-brick-home.com/2014/12/chalkboard-paint-countertops.html
Sunday, December 21, 2014. Yes, you did read that title correctly. This weekend I played around with chalkboard paint on our kitchen countertops and I'm really liking the results. I've ordered some wax paste to put over top as a protective coat that should come in the mail tomorrow. So, as a reminder here's what I started with. Ugly, dirty white laminate countertops. I sanded them with 120 grit sandpaper, then applied three total coats of Rustoleum chalkboard paint with a foam roller. House of Rose Blog.

http://thefamblyshaw.blogspot.com/2012/06/jacks-2nd-birthday.html

Full of lots of thoughts and observations. Talking to him and listening to him all day is really fun! He's become my little bestie. He started out the day super duper early for some reason- -maybe he was excited about his birthday? Daddy went and got his favorite breakfast: doughnuts- with sprinkles! When Daddy...
