The Rob Roy Way has been operational over a period from 2002, with increasing numbers of walkers enjoying the route as the years have past. When set up it was without any form of waymarking and then from 2006 onwards there appeared a limited amount, but all focused on the southern end of the route. At Ardtalnaig there are two options on how to reach Aberfeldy. This single day route option effectively replaces two days going by Amulree. A new Scottish brewery is always an interesting event (there's 'only' 110 of them), so I was intrigued to see that fledgling brewery Ethical Ales. Were operating out of East Ayrshire where there is a definite dearth of decent (well, progressive, shall we say) pubs. I'd spent a number of years on the Ayrshire coast and made quite a few trips out to the long-lamented Windie Goat Brewery. Outward travel was as follows:-.
