Mann Code: February 2011
http://manncode.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Monday, February 28, 2011. Microsoft XNA Game Studio 4.0. The picture above is is from my little test program where I have just been following along with some tutorials and learning the basics of how XNA works. I have to recommend that anyone looking to start up with XNA check out the tutorials on RB Whitaker's site. For my actual game project I will start working more on that now since I have a feel for XNA and how to work with it. My project will also be using the Farseer Physics Engine.

Mann Code: December 2010
http://manncode.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Monday, December 27, 2010. Now that it is the holidays and I am not at work for a whole week I have no excuse to not update this blog with the work I have done on the ray tracer. The updates since the last time I posted have not been huge visually but they have been helpful in keeping me working on this project, which at times can be the hardest part. What I have done is a few things. First, I went through my render pipeline and used Intel's Threading Building Blocks. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Mann Code: May 2014
http://manncode.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
Thursday, May 8, 2014. I am definitely going to be using Unity more in the future, it is easy to use and I am learning a lot quickly. Also it is nice to learn some C# as I go along. I may bounce between Unity and working on a simple render engine in C using the latest version of OpenGL. I will post more with more projects as I continue learning! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). A blog about the game programming and development adventures of Aaron. Friday, January 8, 2010. College Chronicles Part 3: Katamari Arkanoids. Only two months after Extreme Pong 2. I explained the project and asked her how I could make something she would like to play. She simply said, "Just make Katamari", which I think was a joke (we had been playing it a bit at the time). That peaked my interest, and this is what came out of it:. I can totally make a bad ass version for you guys if you like this one :...

A blog about the game programming and development adventures of Aaron. Monday, November 29, 2010. Its been a long time (almost 9 months! And life has been pretty crazy. Since March I have been working At DoubleTap Games on a game that just came out today. It was a wild ride and I grew so much from it. The game may not be my cup of tea, but I am proud of what we were able to accomplish with the small amount of time and resources we had. That game was "Deadliest Catch: Sea of Chaos". Good to hear from you,...

A blog about the game programming and development adventures of Aaron. Thursday, February 4, 2010. Global Game Jam 2010 : Pigmalion. The people were great/talented. The game's core gameplay was simple. There was so many things that got designed for the game, but we were able to focus on the core. The core being: move around a scrolling world, farmers see you and try to turn you into bacon. I learned from this game jam that core gameplay is about all you should plan to get done. We had fun with it. Develo...
